Unit 9 What ‘s your favorite subject? Section A (1a-2b)

新疆鄯善县育才学校:王晓玉Hello, everyone !I’m an English teacher from YuCai school. I’m very glad to have a chance to talk about my teaching ideas here today. The topic I’ll talk about today is Unit 9 What ‘s your favorite subject? Section A 1a-2b. This unit is taught in the first term in Grade 7.And I’ll talk about it from the following parts.

Part 1 The analysis of teaching material(教材分析)

It is the first period of this unit. It is a listening and speaking lesson. This lesson mainly Learn to talk about favorite and express the reason., such as :My favorite subject is…. It is very near to their life. The grammar in this unit is still the present tense.

Part 2 The analysis of students(学情分析)

The students have learned English for less than half a year so far. They have showed great interest in English. They want to express themselves but they are lack of vocabularies. Most of them don’t often use English to communicate with others. Some of them are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. In order to encourage them to express themselves in front of others, I’ll create some real situations for them to practice the key words and structures.

Part 3The teaching aims(教学目标)

1.Aims of the knowledge

(1)Learn the new words and new structures in this section

(2) Learn to talk about favorite and express the reason.

2. Aims of ability

(1) Develop the students’ ability of listening and speaking

(2) Train their ability of communication

3. Aims of emotion

Make the students study all subjects hard. Be interested in English

Part 4 Teaching important points(教学重点):

Master the new words and new structures.

Improve students’s oral English

Part5 Teaching difficult points(教学难点):

Learn to talk about favorite and express the reason.

Part6 Teaching methods(教学方法)

Task-based teaching methods

The situational teaching method

In this lesson I’ll mainly use the Task-based teaching method and the situational teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the students learn in the real situations and finish tasks by listening and making dialogues. That can help students to get a better understanding of the key structures.

Part7 Learning methods(学习方法)

In this lesson, I’ll let them work in groups and pairs to practice the knowledge they have learned. In this way, they can learn better. Work in groups or pairs can also improve their ability of communication.

Before we learn a new lesson, I always ask them to preview it. After they
