常用句型

重难点精析
考点一 play的用法
play+球类，棋类名词。

如：
play soccer/basketball/tennis/volleyball,etc.
踢足球/打篮球/网球/排球等
play chess 下国际象棋
play+the+乐器。

如：
play the guitar/the piano 弹吉他/钢琴
play+某类运动名词的复数形式。

如：
play games/computer games/cards/sports
玩游戏/玩电脑游戏/玩纸牌/做运动
play with sb./sth.表示“与某人一起玩/玩某物”。

如：
Hi, Bill! Come and play with us.喂，比尔！来跟我们一起玩吧。

Don't play with the alarm clock. 别玩闹钟。

play还有“播放（音乐、唱片）”的含义。

如：
Our English teacher often plays the tape for us to listen to.我们英语老师经常放磁带给我们听。

play还可以用作名词，意思是“剧本；戏剧”。

如：
She wrote many good plays. 她写了许多好剧本。

My grandma likes watching plays. 我奶奶喜欢看戏。

考点二辨析take part in, join与join in（2011陕西30题）
这几个词或短语都有“参加”的意思，但用法不同。

take part in... 意为“参加……，参与……”，指参加群众性的活动、会议、考试、竞
赛、讨论、游行等。

如：
He took part in the sports meeting. 他参加了运动会。

take part in也可指参加会议或群众性活动等，着重说明句子主语参加该项活动并在活动中发挥作用。

如：
We'll take part in social practice during the summer vacation.我们在暑假的时候将参加社会实践。

注意：take part in是惯用词组，part前一般不用冠词，但part前有形容词修饰时，要用不定冠词。

如：
Lincoln took an active part in politics and was strongly against slavery.林肯积极参加政治活动，强烈反对奴隶制。

join有两个用法：
(1)指加入某个党派、团体组织等，成为其成员之一，意为“参军、入团、入党”等。

如：When did your brother join the army? 你哥哥什么时候参军的？
（2)和某人一道做某事，其结构为：join sb. in（doing) sth.，根据上下文，in（doing) sth. 也可以省去。

如：
Will you join us in the discussion? 你参加我们的讨论吗？
join in多指参加小规模的活动如“球赛、游戏”等，常用于日常口语。

如：
Come on, and join in the ball game. 快，来参加球赛。

考点三辨析interest, interesting与interested(2009陕西完成句子1题) interest用作不可数名词时意为“兴趣”、“趣味”；用作动词时意为“使（人）产生兴趣”，其主语多为事物。

如：She shows interest in music.
她对音乐感兴趣。

The novel may interest you. 那本小说可能会让你感兴趣的。

interesting形容词，有主动意味，意为“有趣的”，作表语时，主语通常是物。

如：
This book is interesting to me. 这本书在我看来很有趣。

作定语时，既可修饰人，也可修饰物。

如：
That interesting old man came to our school every day.那个有趣的老人天天到我们学校来。

interested形容词，有被动意味，意为“感兴趣的、对……感兴趣”，主语通常是人，且多用于be/get/feel/become interested in 结构中。

如：
Amy is interested in collecting stamps. 艾米对集邮感兴趣。

考点四辨析win， beat, defeat与against
win 意为“赢得”，后常跟“物”作宾语，如比赛项目、游戏、奖品等。

如：
Class Four won the game. 四班赢得了这次比赛。

Do you think they will win the football match?你认为他们会赢得这场足球赛吗？

beat 用作“打败；击败”之意时相当于 defeat, 后跟“人”作宾语。

如：
beat+对手a team
a nation
an opponent
My brother beat me by score 3 to 2 at chess.我哥哥在下棋时以3比2赢得我。

I defeated him in this English exam and got the first. 在这次英语考试中我超过了他，并取得第一名。

against 用作介词，在比赛中表示对地“对抗”之意，后可跟“人”，也可跟“物”。

如：Our football team will be against Class Three in the match. 在这次比赛中，我们足球队将和三班对抗。

My Hobby
Different people have different hobbies. My hobby is collecting coins. I got my first coin on my 8th birthday from my grandpa.
It was an old Chinese coin. I like it very much. I have been collecting coins for 7 years, and I have over 2500 coins from different
countries in different shapes till now. I store them in the box under the bed. My mother often said we had run out of room to store them.
Collecting coins helps me learn a lot about different cultures and history. Last year, I donated some of my coins to charity for homeless children.
