1. Analysis of the textbook and the students(说教材和学生):
In this module, we are going to talk about seasons. The main language function is talking about seasons and activities. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise the interest of learning English and it will be also helpful to improve their oral English .The students have learned English for about half past a year. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The students have taken a great interest in English now.
2. Teaching Aims (教学目标)
(1) Knowledge Aims(知识目标):
To study the new words: spring, warm, summer, hot, autumn, cool, winter, cold. To study the languages: It’s spring / summer / autumn / winter.
It’s warm / hot / cool / cold.
To study the forms: It’s spri ng. (It’s +季节名称);
It’s warm in spring.(It’s + 形容词+介词+季节名称);
We fly kites in spring. (We +动词+活动名称+介词+季节名称)。
(2) Ability Aims(能力目标)
To talk about seasons and describe the weather and activities.
To develop the students’ abilities of communication by learnin g the useful structures.
(3) Moral Aims(情感目标):
To promote understanding between the seasons and foster the students consciousness of unity and fraternity.

To talk about seasons and describe the weather and activities.
To study the new words: spring, warm, summer, hot, autumn, cool, winter, cold. 4. Difficult Points(教学难点)::
To remember all the words of seasons and weather.
To talk about the activites in the seasons.

Tape-recorder, pictures, cards, PPT
6. Teaching Methods(教学方法):
According to the characteristic of the seasons, the teaching method is situation teaching method, task teaching method, communication teaching method. To train the abilities of students’ listening, speaking, reading and their good studying habits of the English language.
7. Teaching Process(教学过程):
Step1 Warmer
1.Greetings to each other.
2.Look at the pictures carefully, then tell me which sports you can see.(play football ,play table tennis ,watch TV ,skipping ,play basketball ,swimming )
Step2 Presentation:
Do you know how many seasons there are in a year? (Four.) Yes, there are
four seasons in a year. This class we are going to discuss M8 Seasons and weather.
Step3 New text learning:
1.Look at the PPT. Spring is coming. Teach "spring" "It`s spring." Now it`s spring. How do you feel in spring? Teach "warm". What do the children do in spring? Teach "fly kites ". The children say: We fly kites in spring. In this picture we learned three new words. Now please practice to read.
2.Spring goes away. Summer will come. Teach "Summer"(farmer )"It`s summer"
How do you feel in summer? It’s hot. Do the action. What do the children do in summer? The children say: We go swimming in summer. In this picture we learned two new words. Now please practice to read.
3.The third season is autumn. Teach the season "autumn". What happened in autumn? (The trees get yellow. The leaves fall down.) So it`s cool in autumn. What do the children do in autumn? The children say: We play football in autumn. In this picture we learned two new words. Now please practice to read.
