考点三:情态动词表推测
1. can’t “不可能”。

例:①The man can’t be our teacher because he is much younger than our teacher.
②—Can it be our teacher? —No, it can’t be our teacher. He is on a visit to the Great Wall.
2. may 可能性,“ 可能,或许”
例:He may be wrong , but I’m not sure.
3. must 表示有把握的推测,“一定是” 。

例:The book must be his. His name is on the cover.
★注意易混点: may be 和maybe
①may be:may为情态动词,be为动词原形,译:可能是,放在句中,作谓语。

②maybe:adv.大概、也许,相当于perhaps,放在句首,作状语。
