英国、美国都有这⽅⾯的统计。
上周，美国教育组织Renaissance Learning 公司发布了2016-2017学年美国K-12（幼⼉园到⾼中）学⽣阅读⼤数据报告：What Kids Are Reading 《孩⼦们在读什么》。
这份报告每年出⼀期，今年已经进⼊了第10个年头，是美国⽼师、家长都⼗分关注的⼉童阅读权威报告。
Renaissance 是美国著名的教育组织，它的名称可能咱们不怎么熟悉，但它的产品，相信关注英⽂阅读的朋友多多少少都接触过，就是著名的Accelerated Reader（简称AR）分级体系。
和我们熟悉的“Lexile兰斯指数”⼀样，AR也是⼀套成熟的英⽂阅读分级体系，主要⽤来评定出版物难易程度（ATOS）、评估阅读者阅读能⼒（STAR）。
在美国，有三万多所学校、超过1000万学⽣在使⽤它家的产品，对学⽣阅读进⾏实时追踪和⽔平分析。
基于这个样本，Renaissance 每年都会“算”出⼀份⼤数据报告，告诉全美国的⽼师、家长、学⽣，过去⼀年中，从幼⼉园到⾼中，孩⼦们的阅读量有多少，最常读的书是哪些。

文本内容（话题与主题）：
Fat Cat主要讲述了故事主角一只宠物猫(a fat cat)拥有一张爱毯（mat）。她的日常生活就是在毯子上吃零食(snack)、睡觉(nap)，因此毯子变得很脏。某一天，猫主人扔掉了该毯子，宠物猫的情绪由愤怒(mad)转为伤心(sad)。而后，主人又给她买了一张新毯子，宠物猫重新获得快乐。通过一个简单有趣的故事，启发学生应该保持个人空间的干净整洁；同时从主人对宠物猫的说话方式启发学生如何更好地与人沟通。
