高中英语新高考-阅读理解指导与解读:品读阅读D篇—文学夹叙夹议文的精彩本篇记叙文,题目并不难,但文章很有嚼头。下面我就说说我是如何解读本文,纯作参考,我的解读也只是一家之见。

本位的语篇结构如下:

例子导入:对孩子的虐待--》说明后果:对孩子虐待的负面影响--》说明原因:为什么父母会这样对带孩子--》父母这样做的深层原因--》我们如何做才是正确的。

简单说就是:例子--》主题--》因果展开--》方法

本文也是一个很好的写作话题,譬如请你描述下面图片的原因等:

1 One evening at a busy Broadway crossroad, I noticed a sister struggling to keep her little kid under control while she talked on the pay phone.(第1句话就点明了记叙文的时间

地点人物。从busy,struggle,keep...under control可以想象一个车水马龙的画面里一个挣扎的女士的种种无奈。这里的sister就是汉语中的大姐,听起来很亲切的。一个pay phone可以告诉我们,这个女士应该不富,要不然会使用手机。) She wanted him to stay still next to her, but he wanted to run and play at the curb, close to rushing buses and taxis.(but一词告诉我们孩子很调皮,curb路边,rushing暗示了一种穿梭,很危险的情景。) One could sense the woman’s frustration, that she was pulled in too many directions: She was angry at the person on the telephone and shouting at the younger that she would “snap his leg”if he moved again.(frustration一词可以证实我们之前的预测,而后面的进一步的解释更是把她的一种近乎绝望描绘得惟妙惟肖。pull sb in ...directions有点像古代得五马分尸,对不起,我不该这样想,但是可以想象她多么累:电话那头的人,身边的小孩,angry, shout,sanp his leg都是歇斯底里的表现。我想起很多身边人这样说:再动,我呼死你。)As I waited for the traffic light to change, the child began to complain and struggle to free himself from the woman’s grasp. (此句可以看出我在十字路口边。小孩子的倔强:complain, free himself from...grasp) She dropped the phone, seized the neck of his tiny T-shirt and gave him a back-hand blow across the face that I know made his little head spin.(注意一连串的动词:drop, seize, gave...a blow,我似乎看到这个女士火冒三丈的画面,动作相当冲:丢下电话,抓起衣服领口,劈脸一巴掌。这一掌不轻啊,一个spin说明了孩子眼冒金星。)

总结:本段如果是快读,只要抓住首句就够了,最后一句也是和第一句照应。请读者记住,记叙文重在动作和心理描述,还有主观感情色彩词。我觉得浙江学生可要留意了,这里的描写肯定是需要牢记的。

2 The light changed, and passersby continued on their way.(the light到底指什么?照应第一段的traffic light。) But I stood there, fixed to the pavement.(but这个词突出了我和路人的对比。为什么我在人群里突然不动?fixed一词说明我陷入沉思中。) I knew this extremely upset woman would carry through on her threat of violence to the child.(carry through on 履行。extremely upset能看出作者还是比较同情她的。)Before, I had wanted to approach her and offer to watch the youngster while she dealt with the troubling situation on the

phone. Now I wanted to comfort the little boy. I also wanted to speak to the sister to calm her and to caution her, as I wish someone had cautioned me when I was passing my pain on to my daughter and causing her emotional suffering.(Before和now两词突出我的心情的逆转。之前我想帮她看孩子,之后我还想安慰这位大姐并提出警醒。我为什么要这样做?因为这等于把负面情绪传递给孩子。)But I was chicken. I thought, she may think I’m out of line, or I may be her next target.(But一词说明了我为什么不这样做。至于out of line什么意思,一定要看or 后的句子,本质上它们的意思是并列的,都反映了这个女士可能的愤怒。)

总结:记叙文一般都遵守:起承转合。这里就是这样。第一段是起,介绍场景;承:我呆若木鸡,我想去帮他们;转:我还是没有付出行动;合:我怕她。如果快读的话,应该抓住这些mark words (标识词)。

3 Often I’ve thought about that child and the many others abused by adults.(此段开始发表议论了,句子的焦点是:abused child) I wonder how they will internalize (使……藏在心底) their pain, and if it will crush their spirits. Will this little boy grow up to be an abusive man? Will he be gloomy and withdrawn? Will he find it hard to communicate with women, with other men? Or will he survive and be sensitive, caring and determined not to continue the cycle?(紧随主题句的都是作者对首句的焦点说明对象进行解释。首先第二句是主题句,pain和crush their spirits是程度的加深。但这还不够,后面排比设问句如排山倒海之势对孩子遭受的虐待后的后果进行强调。但请注意,这种设问也是很讲究的,先写孩子的消极后果:abusive, gloomy, withdrawn, hard to communicate,然后写孩子是不是保持人之初性本善的:sensitive, caring。)

总结:本段如果进行快读,也只要把握前两句即可,因为后面的感情句都是一种衬托。本段主要说明果,承接上文的实例。
