从目的论视角对黄中习对联翻译的研究

【摘要】：对联是中国文化的重要组成部分，历史悠久，广受喜爱。对联由上下两句组成，上句叫上联，下句叫下联，上下两句字数相等、结构相同、词性对应、讲究平仄、内容关联，具有很大的文学和艺术价值，也因此具有很高的翻译价值。

尽管翻译对联会遇到很多困难，而且有的对联可译性不强，但这都不影响对联的翻译价值。目前，中国在国际上受到越来越多的关注，中国文化也颇受欢迎，这是对联走出国门的大好时机。然而，国内有关对联写作、收集和赏析的资料甚多，有关对联翻译的资料却相对较少，对联翻译还有待更多学者加入，深入研究。黄中习的《中华对联研究与英译初探》是目前中国唯一一本详细研究对联翻译的专著，但是目前还没有研究黄中习对联翻译的文章，因此本文将以此作为研究对象，从目的论视角对其进行分析研究，之所以选择目的论是因为对联翻译作为一种跨文化交际行为也是有目的的，其目的就是介绍中国文化，让外国读者了解、接受甚至喜欢对联，这个目的影响着整个翻译过程和结果。在目的论三原则的指导下，通过举例分析，作者认为黄中习的对联翻译基本符合目的论，并总结了一些翻译策略：翻译中可以采用首韵、腹韵、尾韵、英雄双行体、平行结构在一定程度上体现对联的特征；对联意思的传达要重于形式；原对联中的专有名词、具有特殊文化含义的词以及与对联密切相关的文化背景等信息可以通过注释向读者解释。
