安全气囊分布在车内前方(正副驾驶位),侧方(车内前排和后排)和车顶三个方向。在装有安全气囊系统的容器外部都印有Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System,(简称SRS)的字样,直译成中文,应为“辅助可充气约束系统”。是在减轻汽车碰撞后,乘员因惯性发生二次碰撞时的伤害程度。当汽车与障碍物碰撞后,称为一次碰撞,乘员与车内构件发生碰撞,称为二次碰撞,气囊在一次碰撞后、二次碰撞前迅速打开一个充满气体的气垫,使乘员因惯性而移动时“扑在气垫上”从而缓和乘员受到的冲击并吸收碰撞能量,减轻乘员的伤害程度。

安全气囊是现代轿车上引人注目的新技术装置。汽车安全气囊系统的包括传感器总成、充气、折叠气囊、点火器、固态氮、警告灯等。当汽车受到前方一定角度内的高速碰撞时,装在车前端的碰撞传感器和装在汽车中部的安全传感器,就可以检测到车突然减速,并将这一信号在0.01秒之内速度传递给安全气囊系统的控制电脑。而在汽车上装配安全气囊就是一种有效的解决方法。

The airbag is a compelling new technology devices in modern cars. Automotive airbag systems, including sensor assembly, inflatable, folding airbags, ignition, solid nitrogen, warning lights, etc.. When the vehicle subject to a certain angle of the front speed collision, the crash sensor is mounted in the vehicle front-end and to be mounted in a car central safety sensor can detect the vehicle suddenly decelerates, and this signal is within the speed of 0.01 seconds passed to Airbag system control computer. The airbag is an effective solution in automotive assembly.
