in gastric cancer(T)and normal gastric mucosa(C),and their chromosome 10cafion was characterized by bioinformatics.A total of
270 genes were found to have a difference in expression levels of more than eight times.Of them 157 were up—regulated(Signal
functions,it was found that most(67 genes,24.8%)belonged to the enzymes and their regulators groups.The next group was the
signal transduction genes group(43 genes,15.9%).The rest of the top three groups were nucleic acid binding genes(17,6.3%),
19.The cancer seemed to be sporadically distributed across the genome,but most were found on chromosomes 1,11 and
five
groups associated genes abnormality were important genes for further study on gastric cancer.

More and more cDNA microarray methods are now being applied to the study of gene expression. However,up to now there are few reports on studying the chromosomal localization of differential ex— pressed genes.In the present paper,the gene chip technique has been used to analyze differential gene expression patterns between gastric carcinoma and normal tissue of the gastric mucosa.Bioinformatics was used to categorize the genes on the basis of their chromosomal location and function,in order to ex- plore tumor--associated gene·-cluster and its functions in the process of gastric cancer formation and devel— opment.These studies will be helpful in understand— ing the mechanism of carcinogenesis at the molecular level.In addition.this research will provide a poten. tial molecular markers and target genes for the clini—
