Job Content Technical cooperation with governments that require technical assistance and support. Providing humanitarian aid to help people in the recipient countries rebuild their homes.
Source of volunteers Each year, about 5000 qualified and experienced people voluntarily join the ranks of UNV doing volunteer services in more than 140 developing countries
Working field The UNV’s project area is very extensive, contains more than 110 professional fields, such as agriculture, health, education, occupation technical training, industrial technology, transportation, energy, environmental protection and population research etc..

Based in Bonn, Germany, UNV is active in around 130 countries every year. UNV, with Field Units in 86 countries, is represented worldwide through the offices of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP Executive Board.
Group functioning
The project operates mainly through partnership with the aid country office, which usually managed by the government, and often supervised by the agencies of the United Nations, the world food programme, the UN refugee agency, WHO, and so on.
Qualification Application As volunteers, they must be enthusiastic and willing to work in a strange environment with different cultural and different climates for a long time. About education background, they must have bachelor degree or above, with 5 years working experience. The age, sex or race is not important in application. It mainly cares about the health condition of the employees.
