时态的特殊句式

时态的特殊句式
1. was/were about to do “正要做某事正在这时突然另一件事发生了”
was/were
doing }+when 主语+did…
had done “刚做完某事正在这时突然另一件事发生了”
eg:I was about to go out when the telephone rang. =I was at the point of going out when the telephone rang.
2.This/That/It is the …time that 主语have/has done…
This/That/It is the …time that 主语have/has done…
Eg:It was the third time that he had come to this mountain village to see the children.
3.Hardly/Scarcely/rarely had 主语done… when 主语+ did…
No sooner主语done…
than 主语+ did…
“刚做某事，另一件事发生了”
Eg:I had hardly got home when the rain poured down.
=Hardly had I got home when the rain poured down.
4.It is/has been 段时间since 主语+did/现在完成时
It was/had been 段时间since 主语+过去完成时
“自从某事发生已有多久”
Eg: It is/has been 3 years since he lived there.(延续性动词表从动作结束时算起) It is/has been 3 years since he joined the party.
5.It will be段时间before 主语+do(es)…“过了多久才做sth”
It was段时间before 主语+did…
It won’t be段时间before 主语+do(es)…
It wasn’t 段时间before 主语+did…“没过了多久就做sth”
6.by the time 从句用一般现在时，主句用将来完成时;
by the time 从句用一般过去时，主句用过去完成时。Eg:By the time this letter reaches, you will have left the country.
7.since从句用一般过去时，主句用现在完成(进行)时。Eg: She has been living a
hard life since she became addicted to drugs.
I haven't heard from him since last year.
She left school three years ago and has worked as a nurse ever since.
