硬质聚氨酯泡沫塑料具有优良的保温性能、力学性能、电学性能、声学性能和耐化学品性能,特别是具有优异的绝热性能, 而且其密度、强度、硬度等均可以随着原料配方的不同而改变,再加上其成型施工十分方便,因此在冰箱冰柜、冷藏运输、建筑绝热、工业储罐及管道绝热、家具制造等领域获得了越来越广泛的应用。

多种因素对硬泡的导热系数有所影响,主要与泡沫塑料的化学组成、泡沫的空间结构、闭孔率、发泡剂品种及泡沫密度等有关。

硬质聚氨酯泡沫塑料具有强度高、重量轻、绝热效果好、施工方便等特点,40 多年来在很多领域得到广泛应用,用途大致分为两类。一类作为绝热材料,如冰箱、冷柜、夹心板材及保温管道中的硬质泡沫塑料;另一类为非绝热用的结构材料,如制作家具、运动器材、电器外壳等。此外,还有两种功能兼有的制品。
