Step1 Review and lead in
1. Today, four groups PK. Let’s find which group are the best. Are you ready？Ok. Let’s go!
First review words.
2. Next play a word game quickly
Ok. Let’s go on unit7 .Read the title together, What’s the meaning? . We should pay attention to “should be allowed to”
3. Before we learn new lesson, Let’s enjoy a video about your mother’s love , you should pay attention to the words in the screen

Step2 3a
Let’s come to Mom knows Best open your book turn to page 51 Point to the picture of 3a and ask students to describe it. Look at the title and picture ,answer these questions?
Ask a student to read the poem to the class. Then read these questions together. And read the poem together.
1.Get student to underline the sentences using the passive
voice of modal verbs “should be allowed to”
individually .As they are doing this，move around the room answering any questions students raise about the poem and offering language support as needed.
2 Have the students read the poem again and remind them to find the language points and try to understand them with the help of the other students or the dictionary.

Let’s listen to the poem and complete these questions?
Have the students read and try to answer the questions.
Step4 3c
1.Ask students to think about a time that he/she did
something even though his/her mom or dad told him or
her not to do it. Try to list as many topics as they
can.
2.Ask each of the students to get one of their favorite
topics.
3.Get students to answer the questions in 3c
individually，to form the answers into a story. Then
share their stories with their partners.
4.Invite some students to share stories with the
classmates.

Step5 Group work
From this poem we know mom loves us very much. But in our family. Dad also loves you , yes ? Please rewrite the poem. Dad knows Best, give you three minutes , you can write using your favorite paragraphs.
Step6 Summary and homework
Today, We’ve learned a poem mom knows best. We’ve also done some reading and writing practice. Read the sentences together : Father's love is as high as the mountain; Mother's love is as deep as the sea. 父爱如山，母爱如水。
