1.辅音+元音
相邻的两词中，当前一个词的末尾是辅音，后一 个词的开头是元音时，这两个音就可以首尾连读。

（一）连读的概念
在连贯地说话或朗读时,短语或句子中相邻的两个 词，前一个词的尾音与后一个词的首音连起来读，好 像一个单词一样，这种现象叫做连读，如： first of all some of us ︶︶ ︶ ︶ /'fɜ‫׃‬stə'vɔ‫׃‬l/ /səməvəs/

（3）在前后两个单词之间加/r/音 两词相连，当前一个词以/ə/结尾，后一个词以/ə/ 开头时，这两个音间加/r/音连读起来，如：idea of。 ︶ /aɪ'dɪərəv/

英语中，当单词以字母r或字母组合re结尾，后面 紧跟一个以元音开头的单词时，字母r或字母组合re作 为一个连接音发音，读作/r/，与后面以元音开头的单词 首尾连读，如：for ever。 ︶ /fə'revə/

（2）外加音/w/ 两词相连，当前一个词以/u‫׃‬，ʊ，əʊ，aʊ/结尾， 后一个词以元音开头时，这两个元音间加/w/音连读起 来，如：two others。 ︶ /tu‫' ׃‬wʌðəz/

在快速连读中，当前一个词的末尾是元音，后一 个词的开头也是元音时，这两个元音会产生一些微弱 的加音，从而达到连读的效果，主要有以下几种： （1）外加音/j/ 两词相连，当前一个词以/i‫׃‬，ɪ，eɪ，aɪ，ɔɪ/结尾， 后一个词以元音开头时，这两个元音间加/j/音连读起 来，如：the other。 ︶ /ðɪ 'jʌðə/
