二、知识梳理

一、辨析attend, join , join in 与take part in

I attended a concert yesterday so it might still be in the music hall.我昨天参加

了一场音乐会,所以它可能还在音乐厅。

四者均可表示“参加”,具体区别如下:

※Attend是正式用语,及物动词,指参加会议、婚礼、葬礼、典礼;去上

课、上学、听报告等。句子的主语只是去听,去看,去参加,自己不起积极作

用。如:He’ll attend an important meeting tomorrow.他明天要参加一个重要会议。

※Join有两个用法:

(1)指加入某个党派、团体组织等,成为其中成员之一,如:When did

(2)和某人一起做事,其结构为:join sb. in (doing )sth. 。如:will you join us in the discussion?你愿意参加我们的讨论么?

※Join in 多指参加小规模的活动,如“球赛、游戏”等,常用于日常口语.如:Why didn’t you join in the talk last night?你为什么没参加昨晚的谈话?

※Take part in 指参加会议或群众性活动等,着重说明句子主语参加该项活动并在活动中发挥作用。如:We’ll take part in social practice during the summer vacation.暑假期间我们将参加社会实践。

二、辨析accept 与receive

Accept多是接受抽象的东西,如想法、表扬、批评、道歉等,表示主观上愿意接受。如:He asked me to marry him and I accepted.他向我求婚,我答应了。

Receive仅表示客观上收到,不表示主观上是否愿意接受。多指接受实际的东西,如信件、礼物等,常与from 连用。如:I received a present from my mother.我收到了来自母亲的一个礼物。
