Citations and Impact Factor Nature is the world's most highly cited interdisciplinary science journal, according to the 2010 Journal Citation Reports Science Edition (Thomson Reuters, 2011). Its Impact Factor is 36.101. The impact factor of a journal is calculated by dividing the number of citations in a calendar year to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years. It is an independent measure calculated by Thomson Reuters, Philadelphia, USA. Aims and scope Nature is a weekly international journal publishing the finest peer-reviewed research in all fields of science and technology on the basis of its originality, importance, interdisciplinary interest, timeliness, accessibility, elegance and surprising conclusions. Nature also provides rapid, authoritative, insightful and arresting news and interpretation of topical and coming trends affecting science, scientists and the wider public. Nature's mission statement First, to serve scientists through prompt publication of significant advances in any branch of science, and to provide a forum for the reporting and discussion of news and issues concerning science. Second, to ensure that the results of science are rapidly disseminated to the public throughout the world, in a fashion that conveys their significance for knowledge, culture and daily life.

Scientific Literature Review
Literature review refers to an extensive, exhaustive, and systematic examination of publications relevant to the stated research problem. It acknowledges the strengths and weaknesses of the articles.
WHY
The literature review is an important component of every research project for the following reasons: (1) to determine the extent of the theory and research that have been developed in the field of study
Form of Examination
Team: 2~6 students
Review Writing: Topic choice is due on Oct. 24 Each team chooses a topic on the research in which you are interested Each student in each team writes a full review in English based on at least 10 publications you choose to review, and submits on Nov. 28 Presentation: (on Dec 5, 12 and 19) A team prepares a talk based on the topic you choose. Each one prepares a section and one student is elected to present the talk on behalf of the team
