• In Britain there are 11 national daily newspapers and most people read one of them every day.
• The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times, The New York Post, Sky Television, Fox, Star, MySpace, etc.
• According to the 2009 Forbes 400, Murdoch is the 132ndrichest person in the world, with a net worth of $4 billion.

• There are more than 1500 daily newspapers in the US. Each one is usually sold only in one part of the country, e.g. in a city, but they cover national and international news.
• writing style is not serious/ sensational coverage of violence, sex, disasters and pink news
