strapped for cash 極需要錢；極缺錢

strapped 當形容詞是「用皮帶裝飾的；用皮繩綁住的；身無分文的」的意思。原來strapped 可以表示in need of money 「需要錢」，後來才加上介系詞for，現在strapped for 已經用來表示「需要...」，不一定是指需要錢。
