Abstract

Virtual reality technology is the use of computer technology, electronic technology, image technology, sensor technology, multimedia technology, human-computer interface technology and simulation technology such as the development of science and technology in computer field, is a kind of can create and experience the virtual world of the computer simulation system.

Virtual reality technology has been widely applied in various fields, the use of virtual reality technology in city planning can help the government planning departments, project developers, engineering technical personnel master the form of the city, found unreasonable city planning, ensure the reasonable city planning, reduce unnecessary waste of resources. In the field of industrial design, the design of industrial products can be viewed intuitively through virtual reality technology, and the defects in the design process can be corrected in time. In the field of cultural relics and historic sites, the damaged relics can be repaired by virtual reality technology, and the historical relics are made electronic files for permanent preservation. In the field of real estate, virtual reality technology can intuitively see the interior structure of the house, interact with the objects inside the house, understand the structure of the house better, and provide convenience for space design.

The main direction of this paper is to integrate virtual reality technology and tourism industry, and to enhance the value of tourism resources in the region with the help of virtual reality technology. The only around Nantong Langshan surrounding scenic spots development of virtual tourism resources discussed, this project involves the technology is mainly used for 360 degree panoramic photography technology, 3D modeling technology, baking rendering technology, virtual interactive technology and Internet technology etc.. The mobile terminal through the virtual reality technology will be the reality of the user and PC moved to Langshan terminal, and then users can use the sensing device to see Nantong Langshan surrounding natural environment with beauty, enhance the visibility of the city and influence.

The research work of this paper is mainly divided into five parts. The first part mainly describes the research background, the development status quo at home and abroad, the contents and innovations of the research, and the organization structure of this thesis. The second part is mainly about the development platform and related technology of virtual reality. The third, fourth part focuses on the development of virtual tourism project of Nantong Langshan is discussed. The fifth part is about the future development of virtual reality technology.
