1. annual

adj.每年的；一年一次的（作定语）n.. 年刊；年鉴；一年生植物

E.g. 1) Birthday is an annual event. 生日是一年一次的事。

2) Corn is one of an annual. 玉米是一年生植物。

[重点用法]

annually adv. 年年地, 每年地

an annual income. 年收入an annual report年度报告

2. witness

n. 目击者；证人；证据vt. 当场见到；目击vi. 作证人

3) He witnessed to having seen the man enter the building.

[重点用法]

give witness on behalf of sb. 为某人作证

be (a) witness to sth 目击，看见(某事发生), 证明

bear / give witness to sth 为···作证，证明
