Preface
Lifting electromagnets Series MW1, MW5, MW61 for bulk materials have been developed based on long years manufacturing experiences, aiming at prolonging the operation durability and lifting capability. They are one of ideal lifting tools to minimize intensity of the labor and to improve working efficiency.
1.Basic principle and operating conditions
Basic principle
When the electromagnet gets excitated by DC current, a strong magnetic field thus produces. The powerful magnetic force can remove the bulk materials through casing magnetic circuit and air gap.
Operating conditions
The altitude should be less than 2,000 m.
Ambient Medium Temperature:
Normal T type: -20℃<T<+40℃
High T type: -20℃<T<+50℃
No explosive danger or corrosive gas around the operating environment.
Environment relative humidity:≤85%
Can be used indoor & outdoor.
2.Product Model and Signification

II = refers to structure e.g.: 5 -circle; 6 - oval
III = refers to electromagnet diameter (cm)
IV = refers to aluminum material
V = refers to pattern: QS: underwater type; 1: normal T type; 2: high T type
VI = refers to operating frequency
3.Application
Use
This series electromagnet is widely applied in metallurgy, foundry, machinery manufacturing, transportation fields and so on, forming complete set with the lifting equipments to move and unload magnetic materials such as pig irons and scrap steel.
3.2Application
Working voltage is DC 220V; surface temperature of attracted material is less than 100℃( Normal T model); less than 700℃( High T model)
4.Structure Characteristics
Structure
The magnetic circuit of lifting electromagnet consists of cap, inside & outside magnetic pole, iron core and attracted materials.
The electromagnetic coil is put into sealed container made of cap, non-magnetic protecting plate and then got fixed by insulating cement.
4.1.3High T model adopt a special adiabatic structure of double radiating type 4.1.4Diving Electromagnet adopt welding structure after airtight tests. Outlet box
has been sealed in a special way and a simulated test has performed before delivery.
4.2Features
4.2.1Adopt electrical casting steel or low carbon steel which has good
performance of magnetic conductivity and processing to make circuit
4.2.2Coil is usually made of aluminum which ensures an excellent performance of
insulation and heat resistant.
4.2.3High frequency & high temperature model have the same lifting capability as
normal temperature ones except a little more self-weight for the aim of decreasing power-consumption.
4.2.4Totally sealed structure with good performance of moisture proof.
4.2.5Diving Electromagnet which has a good anti-water capability can be used
underwater.
