必修三Unit 2

一、重点语法知识讲解：

1.All can do is (to)do---我能做的是---当主语部分含有动词do的某种形式时，作表语的不定式可以省略to . all I can do=all that I can do=what I can do ;all 后接that

引导的定语从句，that在从句中作宾语，可以省略，all that---=what---

eg.All I can do is ride a tricycle and make money for the students---

2.动名词短语+is+what引导的表语从句；动名词短语用作主语，谓语动词用单数形式what---=all that---=the things that---=anything that---结论：what引导的名词性从句=先行词+that引导的定语从句

eg. Knowing that the kids now have money for school is what keeps me going and gives me more energy.

3.so---that---:如此---以至于---so后接形容词或副词，such后接名词；so/such---置于句首时，该句用部分倒装，that---不倒装

eg. So well have the kids done that they deserve our praise and thanks.

so---that只引导结果状语从句so that 引导结果状语从句和目的状语从句

4.not only---but also---不仅---而且---，谓语应和后面的主语在人称和数上保持一致，遵循就近原则；not only位于句首时，not only 后要用部分倒装but also不倒装eg. Not only do the teachers have their own ideas on the matter ,but the students have theirs too.

5.have/has been doing:表示动作从某一时间开始，一直持续到现在，或者刚刚终止，或者可能仍然要继续下去。强调动作、行为本身未完成。have/has done表

示事情发生在过去，并一直持续到现在，且过去发生的动作对现在有一定影响。现在完成时强调动作、行为的结果、影响。

6.as引导状语从句和定语从句：as引导时间状语从句，强调动作同时性。随着

as引导原因状语从句。由于as引导让步状语从句。尽管，虽然（从句须倒装）as引导方式状语。以---方式。as引导比较状语从句。像---一样

eg. As our car approached Mount Huang, it slowed down.

It is important to pay your electricity bill on time ,as late payments may affect

your credit.

Cold as it is, my elder brother wears only a shirt.

They did as I had asked.

John came as early as Mary did.

as引导定语从句，正如，正像。常用固定句式：as is known to all---;as we can see;as you know; as is mentioned above---

二、重点词组学习

1.under control处于控制之下have control over/of能控制beyond control无法控制be in control of掌管着

2.look across强调从一边看到另一边look over迅速地检查look through翻查、翻找look into调查look up查阅，好转look up to尊敬look down on/upon轻视，看不起look back on sth.回顾某事look ahead 展望未来look forward to盼望

3.give up放弃give away泄露，捐赠give back归还，使恢复give in投降，让步give in to屈服于---give off发出give out分发，用完

4.be determined to do sth.决心做某事with determination顽强地

5.persuade sb.to do sth.说服某人做某事persuade说服，强调劝说的结果advise

建议，强调劝说的动作。talk sb. into/out of doing sth.说服某人做/不做某事convince sb. of sth.使某人信服某事remind sb. of sth.提醒某人某事

6.be grateful to对---感激I would appreciate it if you如果你能----我将不胜感激

7.turn out出席，参加；结果是make a difference有影响，有关系

8.break into a smile突然笑起来break in 破门而入，打断谈话break off折断，中断break out突然发生，爆发break through突破break up破碎，解散，fangjiabreak down出故障，垮掉，分解

9.set up建立，设立set about doing sth.=set out to do sth.着手做某事set aside把---放在一边，省出set off 出发，动身set down写下，记下set out动身，启程10.benefit from得益于，因---而得到好处for one’s benefit为了某人的利益be beneficial to对---有益

11.make one’s dream a reality使梦想成真in reality实际上，事实上in fact, as a matter of fact

12.take up占用，拿起，开始从事take apart拆开take away带走，拿走，清除take after长得像take down拿下记下take in吸收，理解，欺骗take off脱下，起飞，突然成功，休假take on呈现，雇佣，承担take over接管take notice of注意到13.cheer up高兴起来cheer for为---欢呼play an important role in在---中起重要作用
