为了保护自然环境和国家资源,防止汽车尾气对大气环境的污染而引起公害,保障人民生命安全与健康，还可以从下面几个方面入手。

(1)实行车辆分流行驶:城市人口稠密区域,交通密度高,汽车尾气的排放在某一时间又比较集中,故会引起该地区域在某一时间内,大气污染的程度会急剧增加,危害人类的健康。这时可采取汽车分流行驶。

(2)开辟地铁,施行电力牵引行驶。

(3)合理设计城市居民的日常生活完全以步代车,汽车只用在城外,城内的风能、太阳能、循环水等的高效利用也能使人们在很大程度上摆脱污染和不可再生资源的浪费。
