Part Two Sentence Orders

A ：陈述语序（Declarative sentence ）---------“主语+谓语”。

B ：倒装语序（Inverted sentence ）--------- 部分倒装或完全倒装

Part Three （部分倒装）Partly Inverted Sentence

条件：句首状语为否定词或半否定词的句子。

这类词或短语主要有never, neither, nor, little, seldom, rarely, hardly,

scarcely, no sooner, not only, in no way, at no time, few, not, no等

结论：使用部分倒装

例句:1). I did not say a word to him

改写：Not did I say a word to him.

2). I have never found him so happy.

改写：Never have I found him so happy.

操练：1）. He cares little about what I said.

3). He had no sooner gone to bed than he fell asleep.

4). He had hardly gone to bed when he fell asleep.

条件1：as 表示虽然引导让步状语从句

结论1：必须使用部分倒装

例句：1) Though he is successful，he never looks down upon the poor.

改写：Successful though/as he is, he never looks down up the poor.

操练：1). Though he was tired, he kept on running forward.

条件2：not only……but also……连接两个并列分句，且Not only 置于句首。

结论2：Not only 后面的第一个分句要用部分倒装。

例句：John not only loves Chinese, he is also good at speaking it.

改写：Not only does John love Chinese，he is also good at speaking it.

操练：1).Television not only appeals to those who can read but to those who can't.

条件3：not……until ……合并成Not until放在句子开头。

结论3：从句变倒装,主句不变样。

例句：1）. They did not find the lost bike until last week.

条件1：so或so引导的短语放在句首

结论1：使用部分倒装

1) I saw the film, so did she.

2) So loudly did he speak that even people in the next room could hear him.

条件2：only + 状语放在句首

即：only + now/then

+here/there

+介词短语

+状语从句

结论2：句子使用部分倒装

例句：1).It is possible to explain it only by this means.

改写：Only by this means is it possible to explain it.

操练：1). I realized the importance of math only then.
