Youth Counterculture（非主流）
1. definition
So-called Youth Counterculture is relative to the mainstream culture. In a certain era, in the foundation of society, science and technology, literature and art, is mainstream culture. In addition, there is a culture in society, it’s not usually in book, it’s called Youth Counterculture (also called Non-mainstream).
The impressions that the non-mainstream music give people are jumpy, crazy or even unsafe, and those who have political, fighting, subversive(颠覆性的). Compare with this sort of music, popular music is normal to human ear. This is what we often say, "conformity behavior (从众行为)"。
Youth Counterculture of course it is not follow the trends and any classes, the world. Some say that it’s an individual action.

So a musician should not waste time on making money and the creation of " brand “,he should pay attention on the spirit of music.
