The students in my class are divided into three types of learning.
1.One third of students have good basic of learning English,they are active in class activities and use English freely.
Analysis of the Teaching Material
One: Status and Function
1. This unit tells us visiting the Moon including A trip to the Moon and the Space Hotel in the future.We shall add some astronauts’stories such as Yangliwei and Liuyang, We shall talk about the future life on the Moon ,the space history and the related foreign and Chinese astronaut stories . Besides learning these, students will also learn some words, phrases and expressions of this unit and so on. In United 5, it will introduce a new trip to the Moon and a new type of hotel on the Moon to us, it is imaginary.
Two: Teaching Aims and Demands
The teaching aim's basis is established according to Junior School English syllabus' provision.
1. Knowledge objects
1)To learn new words such as“gravity,breathe,le,space,float,nervous,tie,spaceship,spacesuit , machine and so on.”
2.One third of students can follow me but they seldom think about the text and give their opinions.I think I should train them in this aspect.
3.One third of students are weak in English,so I should pay more attention to their studies and at the same time I have to train their interests of learning English.
2. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing, I will have the students do some exercise about the text.
3. Such a topic is very important in this unit. I will lead the students to use their imagination and encourage them to be creative. For example, helping them use English to describe their imaginary trip to the Moon and hotels on the Moon. So I think if the students can learn this unit well, it will be helpful to make them learn the rest unites.
4. While teaching them, I will also encourage them to say something about what they think about the trip to the Moon and the Space hotels and what life on the Moon will be like. In a way, frompracticing such a topic, it can be helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken language.
