Can you come to my party
《Can you come to my party?》说课稿大家好! Can you come to my party?
【说教材分析】(1)教材编写意图、地位及作用本单元以“Can you come to my party?”
Can you play the guitar?
2、掌握并巩固can、have to 、be doing sth.

Unit5 Can you come to my party?Section A (P25-26)Good afternoon Ladies and gentlemen,Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be here to talk about my teaching ideas. My Topic is “Unit5 Can you come to my party?”which comes from Ss book1 of Grade Eight in Go for it. My speech is made up of three parts. Part1 is the analysis of the teaching materials.Part2 is the teaching and learning strategies. Part3 is the teaching Procedure.First I’ll say something about the teaching materials. This is a listening and speaking lesson. It is the first period of Unit5. It can be divided into 3 parts. Part1 is 1a 1b and 1c. Ss will learn some words, phrases and sentences about the language goals. Part2 is 2a 2b and 2c.It offers more practice for Ss to learn the target language and use it to solve problem. Part3 is the Grammar focus. It is a summary. It can help Ss to know the essential grammar of this Unit. So three teaching aims needed to be fulfilled.Language Goals: Make, accept and decline invitations.Knowledge Aims:Important point: The sentences about the Language Goals, especially those in Grammar Focus.Difficult points: Understand the listening of 1b, 2a, 2b.Key point: The words and phrases.Ability Aims;Ss can make, accept and decline invitations in English.Moral Aim: Ss should be polite when they make, accept and decline invitations.Next is the teaching and learning strategies. The teacher should obey the following rules. First design the task easier and encourage Ss to be interested in learning the new lesson. Then give out the “real” situation to make Ss think about themselves. And they can share their life experience with each other by using their knowledge in a real, wonderful and meaningful way. Next the teacher can give them some advice about the listening. Last the teacher should allow them to study in groups instead of explaining all the time. Ss are the owners of studies. The teacher can offer some help if necessary.Ss should learn how to work in a group. Group work provides benefits for every student. In groups Ss have lots of time and chance to think and use the new knowledge actually. Also, they can help each other and learn from each other to make the difficult task easier and finish them in short time. Group-work can also foster a sense of co-operation.Now is the teaching procedure.Step1 Warm-up (5)Ask Ss to enjoy a Disney movie about Goofier’ party. Then make free talks with Ss by using“Can you can to his party?”. Maybe Ss c an onlyuse Yes or No to answer. But this activity can make Ss review the old knowledge and they will be eager to learn the new lesson, too.Step2 To learn language goals. (10)e the situation to help Ss to say “Can you come to his party?”“Yes/sure, I’d love to.”,“No/sorry, I can’t.”2.Let Ss know When we say No to an invitation, we’d better give the reasons. Ss should grasp the following rules: They can use“have/has to”Or talk about the future plan by using “be doing sth” to give reasons. When they make a dialogue they can use “That’s too bad. Maybe another time.” “Sure. Thanks for asking.” to end up the invitation.3. Ask Ss to practice “Can you come to his party?”“Yes/sure, I’d love to.”,“No/sorry, I can’t.”“I have to/am doing…”Then encourage them to talk about the third person. This time they have to use “Can he/she/they come to his party?”“Yes/sure, he/she/they’d love to.”,“No/sorry, he/she/they can’t.”“he/she/they has/have to/is/are doing…”Step 3 To learn 1a 1b and 1c. I’m busy this weekend. I have to…These three steps introduce the key phrases in a natural way and students start to use them in making their plans.Step 4 A GameA guessing game” What do I have to do this weekend?”Take out some small pieces of paper with some phrases written on. Ask one student to draw a piece of paper and act it out. The others guess what he has to do for this weekend. Help Ss ask like this:Do you have to finish your homework? The guessing game can raise Ss’ learning interestStep 5 PresentationT:Do you still remember what I have to do on Saturday afternoon?Ss:You have to go shopping in the afternoon.T:Yeah Why do I have to buy so much delicious food? Can you guess what I am doing on Saturday evening?Help Ss guess I’m having a party with the help of the picture.I want a big party. I will invite a lot of people to my party. Can you come to my party? Now look at your schedules, if you are free on Saturday evening, you just say sure, I’d love to.If you are going to do something, you can answer:sorry, I can’t . I have to …or I’m doing …Invite several students.Present “That’s too bad. Maybe next time.”When Ss decline my invitation. This step introduces the target language in a natural way. Step 6 Listening (1b)T:I’m so sorry that so many of you can’t come to my party. So I’ll try to ask some other children. they are Tim, Ted, Kay, Anna and Wilson. Let’s listen to our conversations and write the names (Tim, Ted, Kay, Anna and Wilson) in the pictures.Get Ss to listen carefully and check the answer.Step 7 Listening (2a, 2b)T:It’s still a small party. So I’ll ask five more students to come. Can they come? Let’s listen to five short conversations. Circle can or can’t.Play the recording and then check the answers.Ask one student to read the sentences in 2b. play the recording again and get the students to number the reasons whypeople can’t go to the party.Help the students complete the task individually. These two listening activities give Ss listening practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.Ss have got a lot of importation..Ss are ready for the following oral practice.Step 8 GroupworkAsk Ss to work in groups of 6, suppose student1 is going to the movies on Sunday afternoon. He is making invitations and the other five Ss response politely according to their schedules they finished at the beginning of the class . Get a group of Ss to demonstrate the conversation first. encourage Ss to use either I have to do or I’m doing to explain planned actions. Remind them to say Thanks for asking or that’s too bad. Maybe another time.Ask Ss to practice the conversation in groups.S1 must write down why they can’t go to the movies. This activity provides the Ss a chance to use English freely. They can say their conversation according to their planned actions. Also, it guides the Ss to study English by communicating in a real language situation.at the same time, the topic has …frominviting to a party to inviting to do the otherthings. It’s close to Ss’ everyday life.Step 9 Presentation and exchange programAsk Student1 in Group1:who did you invite? Then ,can Lucy come? No, she can’t , she has to ……Ask the student to go to Group2. then the students in group 2 ask the new studentr whether the Ss in group1 can go to the movies just as the teacher did. And at the same time, the student who makes invitations in group2 goes to Group1.So do the other groups. This activity guides the Ss to practise the third singular person “he\she has to” in a real situation insead of meaningless drills. Because there is an information gap in the new-formed group.Step10 an activity “let me be a movie star”Let Ss watch a movie segment of Beauty and the Beast.T:the Beast is not polite to the Beauty. He says, ‘you will join me for dinner!’So the Beauty says no. Now I want to change the conversation into a more polite one. I want the Beast to be a gentleman. When he is inviting the Beauty to have dinner, he should say,’ can you …’and the beauty says sorry with a goodreason. Make up your conversation and practice it with your partner just like the Beauty and the Beast. At last I’ll let you do the voice and choose the best conversation and the best actor and actress.T his step will raise Ss’ interest. And it priovides the Ss who have talents in acting a good chance to show themselves.Step 11 Grammar FocusT:It’s time for Grammar focus. Get Ss to repeat. And explain we can use “can” with any person without any changes. These ate all invitations, so we should answer them in a very politely way. If we don’t accept the invitation, we should give a reason with “have to”or I’m doing…”to explain our planned actions. This activity guides the Ss to study English by thinking hard and conclusion. After that they can have a rational knowledge to the target language.Step 12 Homework(1)Write down a new conversation in groups about how to invite and how to respond.(2)Make an invitation card. The homework can help the Ss to consolidate the target language and train their writing ability. The invitation card is for next class. Step 13 Bb designThat’s .all. thank you.。
