1教学目标

通过例句分析,使学生了解“it”的指代意义及其用法。

2学情分析

高中阶段的语法项目比较多,其中有些项目是我们中文的文法中没有的,比如动词的时态,虚拟语气,情态动词和非谓语动词,是我们学生的学习难点,不好理解,总是掌握不好。大部分学生没有能够构筑自己的语法知识框架,所以总觉得这一部分内容繁多,无从下手。许多英语成绩不理想的学生,总是认为自己语法不懂,语法很薄弱,因此用相当多的时间做大量的语法练习,但效果却不怎么样,做错的题,下次遇到照样做错。问题主要在于他们不会分析句式,不会灵活运用语法规则,单纯从知识角度考虑,没有放在具体语境中理解。

3重点难点

在强调句型中的应用:肯定,一般疑问,特殊疑问句及not...until句式。

1. it的最基本用法是作代词,主要指刚提到的事物,以避免重复:

教材分析:

本节课是选修6第三单元以健康话题为主题,主要围绕如何健身,怎样成为健康人展开,其中涉及许多社会热点问题,如抽烟,吸毒,艾滋病,学习与工作压力等影响健康的棘手问题。本节课通过一封爷爷写给孙子的信,引导学生讨论抽烟这个话题,目的在于让他们远离有损健康的活动,并养成良好的生活习惯。

学情分析:

学生作为教学活动的主体,他们的知识与能力基础,兴趣,爱好等是我们在教学中必须充分考虑到的。从心理上讲,高中生必须具有以下特点:1,学习有较明显的自觉性。2,有稳定的学习动机。3,有一定的自学能力。4,有一定的独立意识。通过第一课时的学习,学生将对健康的定义有一个正确的了解,并且知道该怎样过健康的生活。针对以上学情,这个课时将鼓励学生通过体验,实践。讨论,合作,探究等方式,参与各项教学活动,形成具有高中生特点的英语学习的过程与方法。

设计思想:

《课程标准》倡导教师结合教学实际,灵活有创造性的使用教材,积极开发和利用各种课程资源,使学生从不同渠道,以不同方式接触和学习英语。由此,采取以下教法:1,紧扣教材内容,尽可能的将真实生活搬进课堂;2,适时适量扩充信息,扩展话题的深度和广度;3,合理渗透任务型教学,提高学生的语言的综合运用能力;4,有效利用多媒体手段,促进学生思维的发展。

This is the first teaching period of this unit. The central part of this period is two sections in the reading passage titled Advice from Grandad and How Can You Stop Smoking?

Warming Up presents issues about health for students to discuss.

Pre-reading provides some questions to help students focus on the topic of the reading passage and get the students to realize the harm of smoking. Teachers may provide students some advice on how to give up smoking.

Reading is in two parts. The first part is a letter from a grandad to his grandson. Grandad lives a long and healthy life,but he has ever been addicted to nicotine,so he lists reasons for being addicted and the harm of smoking. The second part gives advice about how to stop smoking.

1. 教材分析

本单元以A healthy life为话题,通过谈论人们最关心的健康问题,使学生认识到吸烟、喝酒、吸毒、不良饮食等对健康的危害,了解吸烟的危害及怎样戒烟;通过阅读一篇有关艾滋病的宣传文章了解一些艾滋病的常识及如何预防艾滋病;并学会如何就健康问题给别人提供一些建议;功能句式要求学生学会如何表达聚会中的礼仪和禁忌。通过单元学习,要求学生意识到健康的重要性,养成良好的生活习惯,并学会帮助别人解决一些健康问题。

1.1 Warming Up列举了一些年轻人所关心的健康问题,由此引出单元话题。要求学生列举出更多类似的健康问题,然后在小组和班级范围内进行比较,说出哪个问题是最重要的,并列举出5个有关这个问题人们应该了解的知识。

1.2 Pre-reading要求学生讨论5个与吸烟有关的问题,为后面的Reading做铺垫。

1.3 Reading是一封爷爷写给James的建议信,信中谈到了吸烟为什么会上瘾、吸烟对健康的危害并附上了一篇如何戒烟的文章来帮助James戒烟。

1.4 Comprehending要求学生讨论几个与Reading内容有关的问题,并根据Reading的内容完成表格。另外还要求学生用自己的语言简要概述一下advice on how to stop smoking。

1.5 Learning about Language包括两部分:Discovering useful words and expressions是两个关于Reading中的一些词汇的练习;Discovering useful structures 是关于it structure的用法介绍和练习。

如何回复建议信

写回复建议信时,首先要分析问题,表明自己的观点;其次,针对问题提出建议,并说明原因;最后,提出期望,希望收信者积极行动,改进现状,并礼貌地结束全文。同时应注意以下几点:

1.信件要素齐全:通常由六部分构成:信头(发信人的地址和发信日期)、信内地址(收信人姓名、职位、地址等)、称呼、正文、结束语和签名。有时信头和信内地址可省略。

2.态度谦恭理智:要考虑到作为写信者的适当语气和角色身份,委婉地提出建议及改进措施,或提出忠告。

3.简明扼要,以理服人:针对问题提出解决方法时,一定要语气柔和,态度明确,逻辑分明,重点突出,让对方感到“纳而有因,拒而有理”。

Tips on how to quit smoking

Write down why you want to quit (the benefits of quitting): live longer,

feel better, for your family, save money, smell better, find a mate

more easily, etc. You know what's bad about smoking and you know

what you'll get by quitting. Put it on paper and read it daily.

Set a quit date. Decide what day you will extinguish your cigarettes forever. Plan for it.

Ask your family and friends to support your decision to quit.

Talk with your doctor about quitting.

Begin an exercise program.

Do some deep breathing each day for 3 to 5 minutes.

Cut back on cigarettes gradually.

Drink lots of water.

Find something to hold in your hand and mouth, to replace cigarettes.

Whenever you have a craving for a cigarette,instead of lighting up, writedown or whatever is on your mind. Write it down. your feelings

T:Choose 3 pieces of most useful advice and write 2 or 3 sentences to explain how to do it.

Dear Li Xiaolei,

I am sorry you have had so much trouble to stop smoking, but I am

glad you are still trying. I hope the tips below will help you.

First of all, don’t give up. The more often you try the more likely you are to eventually

succeed.

When you feel irritable,don’ t automatically reach for a cigarette to makeyou feel better. Take a few moments to relax. Start by breathing deeply

and lifting your arms out to the side and over your head.

It is a good idea to drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit when you

are quitting smoking. This will help to remove the nicotine from your

body faster and you won’t feel so sick.

It is normal to feel a little stressed when you first give up smoking, but try to

remember that it will only last a few days and then you will begin to feel much better.
