◆1..What’s your name? My name’s Gina..
(1)两人初次见面互相询问姓名时可用这个句型。

后面可加上please,用升调以表示礼貌、客气。

如想反问时可说:And you?或者And what’s your name?
●例如:A: Hello.. What’s your name? B: My name is Linda.. And you?/And what’s your name?
(2)回答时还可以说I’m…..其中My name’s…是My name is …的缩写。

I’m…是I am的缩写。

●例如:我的名字叫玛丽。

My name’s Mary../I’m Mary..
(3)am, is, are叫做联系动词,用来表示人或事物的性质、状态等,在句中起连接主语和表语的作用,基本意思是“是”,有时不译出。

其原形是be。

●例如:我的尺子是蓝色的。

我(I)用am, 你(you)用are, is 跟着他(he)、她(she)、它
(it ),所有复数都用are 。

◆2.. Hello!你好!
Hello 一般可作为熟人、朋友、青年人之间的招呼用语,语气较随便,译
为“您好”;此外打电话或遇熟人时也可用, 译为“喂”。

在表示问候或
唤起注意时,有时可用Hi 来代替Hello ,显得更为随便。

●例如:你好,简! Hello/Hi, Jane!

(1)这是初次
见面时的客套
话,还可以说 I’m glad to meet you..该句是一个个省略句,完整的句
子应该是It’s nice to meet you.. 回答时一般用 Nice to meet you, too..
(2)meet 意思是“遇见,碰到,迎接,会合,开会”等, 也可以做名词
“会议”。

与meat (肉)谐音。

●例如:我经常碰到你的老师。

句中的his 叫做物主代词。

物主代词是表示所有关系的代词。

的是形容词性的物主代词
