R:W elcome to our restaurant!What can I do for you?

h:I have reserved a table for 4.Could you take us to the table?

R:Sure.May I know your name?

h:Of course.My name’s Ann Du.

R:Please wait for a moment.Y our table is No.2.Please come along with me.

R:This is your table.I hope you could have a nice dinner..

h:Thank you.

H:Please have a seat,Mr G,Ms g.

G:All right. g:OK. (W上)

W:Good evening,Mr and Ms.Her e is the menu.Please have a look and make the oder.

H:What would you like to eat，Mr G?

G:I don’t konw Chinese food at all.It’s better for you to oder.

H:OK.

W:Do you need a few minutes?

H:Y es,I do.

(Several minutes later.)

W:May I take your oder now,Madam?

H:I would like to have Sizzling beef,Mushroom and green vegetables and Ants on the tree as the main course. Radish mutton soup is good for stomach.

W:Madam ,Your oder is Sizzling beef,Mushroom and green vegetables , Ants on the tree and Radish mutton soup.Is that correct?

H:Yes.

W:Please wait for a moment.Dishes will be served soon.

g:Ann,My collegue Mr Smith send his regards to you and wish to see you again. h:Thanks.

G:g,you made a acquaintance with Ann before?

g:Y es,I met her in head office last month.Smith is an acquaintance with her.

h:I was in New Y ork on business last month.

H:I think we have made a lots of results.

G:Y es,the conferences we have had these days are all productive.And it’s a good week for us.

G:The dishes are served now.What’s the dish here?

h:W e call it ‘Ants on the tree’.The ants are the minced pork..The object looks like noodles which are made from sweet potatoes.

G:How funny!And why the soup is favourable to stomach?

h:The soup is stewed by radish and mutton.In traditional Chinese Medicine, the mutton is a warm food,and the radish can contribute to digest.So it makes stomach warm and comfortable.
