四六级考范文背诵50篇
1大学英语四六级考试易考范文背诵50篇Topic 1 The Necessity of ExaminationAs regards examination, there has been a heated discussion among the general public in our society.People who believe in its necessity may have some arguments as follows. To begin with, examination helps to tell the better-behaved from the worse-behaved students. What’s more examination may stimulate the students to work harder. Take Xiao Wang as an example, a student from Hebei Normal University, he used to have poor command of English. However, under the pressure of College English Test Band 4,he made great progress and can now speak fluent English. By contrast, some people think that examination may give rise to a series of negative effects. They maintain that examination can not always faithfully reflect one’s study performance. It is believed that too many students may be mislead and neglect the improvement of practical ability. Examples of “High marks but poor competence” are often cited on different media.Just as any coin has two sides, it’s no exception with the issue of examination. Students should develop a right attitude toward it and strike a balance between examination and practical ability achievement.[00:00.30]Topic 2On Self-employment of College Graduates .Nowadays, our government encourages college graduates to employ themselves by starting their own career. If their plan is creative and original, the government will grant a financial aid to them. This act aims to stimulate graduates’ creativity and alleviate the pressu re of employment. Firstly, the rate of unemployment and underemployment of college graduates is on the rise in recent years because of the competitive job market. Secondly, some graduate employees are not satisfied with the present job and their enthusiasm for work has been frustrated to some degree. Thirdly, some brilliant and ambitious graduates lack start-up capital even though they have a good idea.In conclusion, the act does not only bring many opportunities to college graduates, but also restore their confidence in themselves and the future. Moreover, many job opportunities are created for the society as a result.Topic 3On the Popularity of Internet-based InstructionWith the rapid development of information technology, there is a boom in Internet-based instruction. Most of the universities offer online courses which have gained much popularity among students nowadays. This new way of teaching brings many advantages. Firstly, it gives much convenience and freedom to students. Students can study at any time and any place as they like, even in pajamas睡衣, 宽长裤. Secondly, it is very economical because students are not required to come to the campus, and schools can cut the expenditure on electricity and water supply, doorkeepers’ payment, pa rk lots maintenance and so on. But online learning has drawbacks as well. One of them is that there is no effective way to ensure that students make the required efforts. As for me, I prefer the traditional way of teaching. The face-to-face communication with teachers can give me more encouragement to learn. As a matter of fact, the direct guidance and class interaction benefit me a lot. Topic 6Fashion Pursuit in Colleges.Nowadays students in colleges and universities are in hot pursuit of fashion, which is an unquestionable fact. They are crazy for everything that is prevailing in society, such as owning luxurious mobile phones and wearing blonde curls. Many people think it acceptable for college students to follow fashion. College students are very flexible in thought and are easy to accept new things, so following fashion may well reflect their pioneering spirit and may help them form a good habit for their future career. But on the contrary, some people have the idea that it is imperative to resist the fashion. College students should concentrate themselves exclusively on studies, which should be on the top of their agenda. Holding the right concept of value makes sense. To earn an impressive academic performance, we college students must pour determined efforts into study and pay no attention to vogue时尚.As far as I am concerned, college students should have the spirit of pioneering. However, the spirit cannot always be shown by fashion, but by their academic performance. We should compete with our peers for better scholarly achievement instead of more expensive fashionable clothes.Topic 7Campus Certificates Craze. If you just randomly ask a student on campus what he is busy doing, very possibly, he may answer that he is preparing for a certificate of some kind.Investigating a little more, you will find that this has become a new craze among college students. The reasons behind the phenomenon can be summarized into just one: the pressure of finding a job after graduation. With the admission expansion of colleges, a lot more graduates have to compete for the limited job posts. How to make oneself more competitive? Maybe more certificates at hand. Hoping that the employers might find one of them more attractive, the students are compelled to run from one exam to another. As far as I am concerned, the students should have a more rational attitude toward certificates, because exam certificates do not necessarily represent one’s ability. For me, one should work hard at his or her major. Opportunity will come to you if you are competent enough in your field.Topic 8On College Students’ Taking Part-time Jobs.Nowadays more and more people voice growing concern over college students’ taking part-time jobs. Some people argue that it is unquestionably beneficial to the students inthat it can enlarge their horizon and enrich their experience, while others firmly hold that part-time jobs of all kinds are harmful since they will hinder the students’ normal college study. Personally, I think this question should be probed in depth. On the one hand, the first group is not totally correct because not all part-time jobs are beneficial. Students are somewhat immature and easily led astray误入歧途地by those money-addicted employers. On the other hand, the second opinion seems not so satisfactory because we also witness successful examples in universities home and abroad. Early working experience can be invaluable as the preparation for future career. From what has been discussed above, we can see clearly that the key lies in whether the student in focus is able to strike a successful balance between work and study. Otherwise, the college life will be caught in the so-called vicious circle no matter whether the student takes part-time jobs or not.[00:00.69]Topic 9My View on Amalgamation合并of Universities.Recently there have been many reports of amalgamation of universities. It turns a new page of advanced education in China, and will have far-reaching effects in the forthcoming years. The biggest benefit, in my eyes, is that the merging often results in a comprehensive university with increased overall strength. To take part in international competitions, we need more universities of this kind. In addition, the integration of staff members will significantly improve the quality of both teaching and research. Finally, reorganization will optimize使最优化the disposition安排;布置of limited resources, which is the symbol of successful educational reform.Apart from the benefits mentioned above, we should also face several unavoidable challenges. In the first place, the integration process itself will be difficult even painful—many people may need to sacrifice their own interestsfor the whole university. In the second place, the management of such biguni versities is not easy at all. What’s the most important, the most successful university is not necessarily the largest one or the one with most students the key lies in the unique spirit of the university. Only when we deal with these problems successfully can we benefit the most from university amalgamation.Topic 10My View on Double BA Degree .Recently it has become a common phenomenon for college students to have two majors at the same time.In this way, they can get double BA degrees when they graduate from the university several years later. Although it may bring unfavorable相反的consequences, we can be sure to conclude that this practice is favorable on the whole. To begin with, most students will become more hard working and efficient in order to finish the learning tasks satisfactorily. Moreover, with two degrees at hand after graduation, they will stand a better chance in the job market full of fierce competition.Weighing the pros and cons赞成和反对的理由;利弊;正反两方面;优缺点of such a new trend, we can naturally arrive at the conclusion that it is beneficial and rewarding值得做的;有益的. This system not only compels students to work hard, but also prepares them for the coming competition.Topic 11On Opening Psychological CoursesRecently, more and more educators and common citizens suggest that universities and colleges open more courses which are helpful for students’ psychological health.Personally, I fully agree with their proposal for the following reasons. On the one hand, the ever-increasing pressure of study at the moment andjob-hunting in the future may lead to many psychological problems, such as anxiety, depression and even despair, and the psychological courses open a door for communication and relaxation. On the other hand, such courses can teach students how to regulate调整; 调节feelings and emotions under different situations, which is a good preparation for the future life in the complex society. Finally, these courses also introduce good habits which are conducive to one’s mental and psychological health. To be mature and qualified citizens in the society, students have to do more than study hard.In a word, I warmly welcome the establishment of psychological courses in universities. In my mind, they are good for students’ psychological developme nt. Topic 12Should College Students Have a Credit Card?At present, credit cards, the once exclusive possessions of the rich, have become quite popular on campus. Some college students hold more than one credit card. They use credit cards to buy a variety of goods, such as clothes, stationery, electronic products and other expensive goods. What’s more, they also use credit cards to pay mobile phone bills and other bills. In my opinion, credit cards are not necessities for college students. With credit cards, some students tend to purchase goods on impulse. They can get temporary临时的, 暂时的satisfaction this way; however, hot-headed purchase will leave a heavy financial burden on students. Worse still, if they can not repay debts on time, their dishonest behavior will be recorded. In a world of credit, such a record is definitely unfavorable to the students. Topic 13My View on Remedial ExaminationsRemedial examinations have been part of university education for many years. After careful observation, we can find that it is more complicated than we have thought. On the whole, I should say remedial examinations are necessary for our educational system. On the one hand, some college students are not working hard, and if none of them fail the examination, how can we guarantee the quality of education? On the other hand, by preparing for and taking part in remedial examinations, students can make up for the lost time. If they can learn from thislesson, it will certainly be beneficial for their future life. To make remedial examinations do the job, however, we have to make sure of several points below. For one thing, we should make all the examinations as fair as possible. Some students cheat in the examinations to get high scores, and others beg the teacher for a satisfactory grade. All of these people should be severely punished. For another, teachers should not decide the number of students failing the test before the examination. They should bear a standard in mind, which is comparable across the years. The remedial examination is an important part of college education. Only by planning it wisely and conducting it reasonably can we make best use of it.Topic 14On Overseas StudyLike anything else, overseas study has both advantages and disadvantages. The main benefits of studying overseas are as follows. In the first place, the overseas students can benefit greatly from the higher academic level and the more advanced research facilities in some famous universities. In the second place, it’s the best way to understand a new culture and its people and language. Last but not least, the experience will be invaluable to character building, making most students more independent, diligent and enterprising有事业心的,有胆量的. However, the negative effects are also obvious. To begin with, if a person does not make full preparations before going abroad, he will have great difficulty adapting to the new environment. What’s more, the cultural differences will hinder the regular life in many ways. Finally, money is always a big problem. Many students have to find part-time jobs to earn money to pay tuition and fees. in conclusion, the advantages of overseas study outweigh its disadvantages. Once they return home, the overseas students will make great contribution toour motherland.[00:00.68]Topic 15On Electronic DictionaryThe discussion about electronic dictionary has never stopped in the past few years. Some people hold that it has a lot of advantages. To begin with, it’s extremely convenient. Whenever you meet new words or expressions, you can know the meaning quickly by looking up it. What’s more, it’s becoming cheaper and cheaper, and more and more students can afford it. However, other people argue that its negative effects are also obvious. Firstly, some students rely too much on it—they never put their heart into learning new words and expressions. Secondly, some explanations are neither complete nor accurate, which are quite misleading.Up until now, we can see it clearly that electronic dictionary is not beneficial or harmful in itself. The key lies in its user—so long as we can make proper use of it, it can be most helpful to us in many respects.Topic 16Are College Students Diligent? When we talk about whether college students are diligent or not, we will be most surprised to find that the present situation is so complicated. On the one hand, many students do not cherish their time on campus: Some indulge themselves in video games or Internet chat, and some go shopping or dancing frequently. On the other hand, many others seize every minute to turn their dreams into reality: Some study in library every day including weekends, some conduct experiments until midnight, some collect data for research papers and others take part in all kinds of examinations. Two reasons, in my eyes, can account for this phenomenon. In the first place, the general environment in university is a decisive factor—if most students are fighting for their future, the others will be affected. In the second place, the general social atmosphere also plays an important role—if the reality can always testify to the proverb “Diligence is the mother of success”, students will not hesitate to take action.Topic 17Going on Studying or Going to WorkCurrently, the major dilemma which most students face upon graduation is whether to continue pursuing postgraduate studies or to find a job immediately. Those who decide to go to work immediately cannot wait to put what they have learned into practice. They believe that only by applicationcan they master knowledge in the real sense真正意义上地. Most important of all, they can live on their own and have the feeling of accomplishment for the first time. Other people, however, believe that if a person wants to be an expert in a specialized专门的field, four years in university is far from enough. The best way is to choose a direction and study it in depth. It is not late at all when they go to work, because they start at a much higher level. No matter which choice a student will finally make, he has to be extremely careful to look into his unique situation and consult the predecessors for their advice. He will make the right choice if he knows his goal in life and how to turn it into reality.Topic 18Stepping away from Online GamesNowadays, more and more college students are addicted to online games. Those games may be fun and exciting, but are very harmful to those addicts. In my opinion, there are many disadvantages of game addiction. Firstly, online games take up a lot of players’ time for study. Many of the addicts found themselves forced to drop out of school for poor academic performance. Secondly, addicts tend to isolate themselves from the reality. What’s worse, indulging in the virtual world for a long time, they are more liable to suffer mental problem and physical collapse. Finally, players are exposed to too much violent and unhealthy material, which is definitely harmful to their growth. In short, I cannot see any benefits from online games. Studying should be theprimary concern of college students. Therefore, I do hope they can step away from online games.[00:00.50]Topic 19How to Eliminate Cheating on CampusNowadays, instead of listening attentively in class and working hard after class, a number of students adopt all kinds of dishonest methods to get high scores in examinations. It has become such a serious problem that it has aroused the concern from the whole society. To put an end to such a serious problem, in my mind, it calls for the efforts from all sides. First of all, the university authority should make it clear that any cheating behaviors in the examinations, from whispering, copying and receiving answers via mobile phones to asking ringers for help, will be severely punished with no exception. Moreover, teachers of all subjects should go all the way to restore honesty by setting an example for the youth through speaking sincerely and behaving truthfully.Last but not least, young students, the future of our nation, should view integrity as the prerequisite先决条件,前提to an upright正直的, 诚实的and responsible citizen so as to learn to despise鄙视, 看不起某人(某事) and fight dishonest behaviors throughout the life. Only when all of us join in the efforts of eliminating cheating at all levels can we expect to have a cleaner society and a more beautiful future.[00:00.32]Topic 20Changing the Major in UniversityRecently it has become a common phenomenon for college students to apply for changing their majors. In this way, they can learn what they’re most interested in if their applications are approved.Although it may bring unfavorable consequences, we can be sure to conclude that this practice is favorable on the whole. To begin with, some students can’t choose their favorite major because their entrance examination scores are not satisfactory enough, but the new system of changing major gives them a second chance. Moreover, once they are learning their favorite major, they will probably be more confident and diligent than before. Finally, students learn largely the same basic courses during the first one or two years, so changing major will not bring learning difficulties. In a word, we can naturally arrive at the conclusion that it is beneficial and rewarding. This system not only gives students a second chance to choose their major, but also prepares them for the coming competition.[00:00.61]Topic 21 CreditCredit is of great importance to one’s development. Without credit, one wouldn’t get the trust from others, let alone get help from others or cooperate with others.Howev er, nowadays the whole society is faced with “credit crisis”. To begin with, business is threatened by the lack of credit and trust between enterprises and banks. According to a recent survey conducted by the People’s Bank ofChina, a total amount of 3240 billion Yuan debts were not paid off to banks by the enterprises in the year 2006. In addition, lies often exist between friends. For example, Xiao Wang—my neighbor—was persuaded to buy certain insurance product and turned out to find that he was cheated. What’s more, we have heard lots of news reports that family members cheated each other for their respective benefits. We should take measures to improve people’s sense of credit and establish stricter laws to punish the behavior of those who do not have credit. Only in these ways can we hope to enhance the credit of the whole society.Topic 22Is EQ More Important than IQ?Nowadays, many people in the society hold the idea that 20% of one’s success lies in his Intelligence Quotient, while 80﹪in his Emotional Quotient. People now are more and more aware of the importance of EQ.In my opinion, I fully agree with that. First of all, with a high EQ, one will get along well with his peers and companions, so they can conduct business or finish their work in a harmonious atmosphere and improve the working efficiency. Furthermore, only with high EQ can one be self-restrained and bravely overcome the difficulties encountered in work and life.In brief, a high EQ will make a person become more optimistic, confident and passionate in his work. As the saying goes, one’s character determines one’s destiny, which stresses on the importance of EQ. Therefore, while IQ indeed can’t be ignored, EQ is more vital for one to be successful.Topic 23My View on Global Food CrisisRecently, people are talking about an urgent threat—the global food crisis, and the year 2008 is even defined as The Year of Global Food Crisis. The global food crisis, firstly, can be said to be triggered by the fast population growth in recent decades. With more and more people to be fed, we have to find better ways to increase our agricultural yields. Moreover, while we are striving for a higher civilization, the damages we have done to the environment make much of the world’s soil deteriorate. W ith the land yielding little, there is no wonder that people will go hungry. Last but not least, many farmers in some countries are leaving the land because the cost of production exceeds the return. Some of them work at jobs off the land, and some just lay waste the land altogether.Solving the global food crisis is a big issue, and needs the concern and cooperation of every nation of the world. On an individual level, we should be frugal节约的,节俭的,节省的about the food, and never waste a bit of it.Topic 24 Food SafetyDue to the tainted腐坏的, 污染的, 沾污的, 感染的milk produced by Sanlu Company, many infants were suffering from kidney stone, and some even died. This case, however, is only the latest food safety problem. In the near past, KFC food was found to be tainted by Sudan red, a dangerous chemical that couldcause cancers.Food contamination will result in not only direct health problems, but also other indirect consequences. On the one hand, when a product is discovered to be contaminated, people will have lingering fears ,take Sanlu scandal for instance, when the scandal was brought into the daylight, the company only reaped its bankruptcy, which can affect social stability due to unemployment brought by it.I n order to counter对抗food safety problems, corporate leaders should not only attach importance to short-term profit through adulteration掺杂,掺假货and other unlawful不合法的means. Meanwhile, the government should also perfect its supervision procedures and increase financing for food testing. Freeters are those who do not have any stable jobs and only earn money when they are in need of it. When they have adequate money, they usually do things at their pleasure. The phenomenon of freeters shows that people can enjoy a flexible schedule and live a desirable life. However, there are some potential problems for them. For one thing, they are always moving and changing jobs; as a result, their welfare can not be guaranteed. For another, they are less likely to have a long-term career development because of too frequent change of jobs. Last but not least, they are possibly not aware that what they do is kind of irresponsibility for their family and the society. To my mind, the rise of freeters manifests social progress. However, the scale of freeters should be controlled; otherwise it will cause problems.Topic 26My View on Self-reliance自力更生From my point of view, self-reliance means doing whatever we can by ourselves, and when facing difficulties, we try our best to deal with the problems rather than rely on others. Self-reliance is vital to everybody in that we can not depend on others all the time. Besides, it is also a sign of growing-up, which means that we can take the responsibilities for the family and the society. Then how can we become self-reliant? Firstly, we should get out of the bad habit of being looked after by our parents. Secondly, we should not ask for help from others easily when we are involved in some troubling situation. Moreover,self-confidence is a precondition of self-reliance, for only when we trust in ourselves, we can be self-reliant. Trust thyself”, so says American author and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson in his famous essay“Self-reliance”.Self-reliance is important to everybody and is one of the key factors that make us successful in life.Topic 27My View On TV ShoppingNowadays, with the fast development of mass media networks, people areexperiencing unprecedented convenience of handling daily matters. TV shopping programs, for example, have made shopping so simple that it has become a fashion and trend that we can hardly resist. However, everything can be a double-edged sword and TV shopping program is no exception. TV shopping has its advantages. Firstly, it is very convenient for consumers to make their purchase without going out and walking wearily from one shop window to another. Secondly, compared with paper advertisements, TV shopping programs show us the goods more vividly. When it comes to disadvantages, it seems that we, as consumers, can hear and see what is presented, but stand a narrow chance of knowing for sure what the goods are really like, and sometimes these salesmen just sweet talk us into buying what we do not need or something of poor quality. While making good use of TV shopping programs, we should be rational about what is advertised on TV and spend our money in a reasonable and cost-effective way.Topic 28 My View on Train Ticket ScalperFor many college students, going back home for the Spring Festival proves to be an ordeal. Despite the efforts of queuing up for several hours or even days, some can not get the tickets. As the last resort, they would turn to train ticket scalpers.According to numerous media reports, illegal ticket deal has become a flourishing茂盛的, 兴盛的and well-organized business. Though illegaltrain-ticket deal does help some home-bounded people, often times ticket scalpers sell fake tickets. Consequently, those with fake tickets will be punished by train conductors. Furthermore, suspicion of scalpers being hand in glove密切合作、互相勾结with railway employees has already resulted in the public anxiety and anger, which will pose potential threat to the social stability. While the railway infrastructure can not be improved in the near future, the only solution to controlling the illegal ticket deal depends on the efficiency of railway system management. If the ticket distribution system is reliable, then scalpers will eventually find their flourishing business doomed.Topic 29On Idol WorshippingIdol worshipping is not a new phenomenon, but the recent cases of unreasonable behaviors conducted by some young people have made it a focus of attention again. Espec ially, a young girl’s father has committed suicide just to wake up his daughter who is possessed by the idea of following her idol wherever he goes. Some people argue that the mass media is to blame for the tragedy, because they always show a picture of glamorous富有魅力的;迷人的movie stars, pop singers and all the other entertainers. They represent a lifestyle that young people desire to have. However, the young people are just not mature enough to distinguish the reality from the dream. Other people believe that it shows the。

英语四六级范文(通用九篇)5英语四六级范文(篇一)Life itself consists of a series of challenges, whether large or small. When faced with these challenges, we should knock them back with the attitude that “you cannot change what you refuse to confront.”Thomas Edison is a good case in point to illustrate the importance of facing challenges with perseverance. He had done a lot of experiments before the first long-lasting light bulb came into being. Among those experiments, there were thousands times of failure. If he had chosen t o give up, he wouldn’t have brought so many revolutionary inventions to the world. His life is the best evidence to prove that accepting challenges and triumphing over difficulties are what lifeis all about. As for myself, I still remember the first time I learned to ride a bicycle when I was eight. My father kept his hands on the back of the bicycle to help me. I often fell to the ground when he let it go. It was painful but after I tried again and again I finally made it. Life resembles the process of mountain climbing. People who avoid challenges and take the easy route will gradually descend into the valleys. So we need to keep on climbing despite the twists and turns, until we eventually conquer the highest mountain and see the most beautiful view.英语四六级范文(篇二)As is shown in the picture,a master student is applying for a job,but he is interviewer just tells him the reason why he cannot get the job because he doesn’t have a simple as picture is ,what it conveys to us that the requirements from the company is high and strict. It is of great necessity to figure out the negative influence behind the one hand, from the perspective of the company, they will lose the talents who are qualified for the job, because the certificates cannot prove the applicants’ capab ility,as we all know, some certificates are the other hand, from the employees, they believe they have a high degree, but they still can’t meet the needs of the companies, which exerts an undesirable influence on their career plans or their mental health. To sum up,there are some suggestions responsible for the above-mentioned company cannot only judge a person’s ability from the certificate, but most importantly, give them a chance and let them show their real applicants should improve their own practical ability in order to get their favorite job successfully.英语四六级范文(篇三)ever since early the last century, electricity has become anessential part of our modern industrial and agricultural production depends on it to run various kinds of modern wonder computers work on electricity provides light, heat and power for we want to watch tv or films or to listen to the radios we also need can deny that the development of our civilization depends on electricity.if there were no electric power, our modern world would be in one thing all the wheels would stop because the motors that power the machines would another, many,if not all,of our industries would cease the world transport system,in addition, would be felt on the world’s communication our modern world would be impossible without electricity.英语四六级范文(篇四)In recent years, there are more and more people who have participated in the test for national civil of students choose civil servant as their most ideal occupation after among them, the high-educated,like masters and doctors, take quite a large craze in civil servant test has attracted widespread attention. The following reasons can account for this kind of all, nowadays college students facegreat employment servant,as one of the most stable professions in today’s China, becomes their preferable recent years, the welfare and salary of civil servants have been improved greatly, which undoubtedly attracts many high social position of civil servants is an important factor drawing many people to take part in the civil servant test.In my opinion, this craze in civil servant test will continue in the following the long run,it doesn’t do good to the development of the most high quality talents gather in the government departments,it might lead to a waste of the individuals and the government should have a more objective recognition of the civil servant test craze.英语四六级范文(篇五)There is no denying the fact that keeping pets is a hotly debated topic peopleclaim that keeping pets is a good thing to do. Thefarewell dinners, which once symbolized a celebration of the four-year friendship and the bitterness of pending departure, pose a gigantic financial burden on the graduates.A number of factors can account for such phenomenon, but thefollowing might be the critical ones. Firstly, it’s an undeniable truth that today’s college stud ents tend to spend much more money than before. What’s more, the farewell dinners are held in the name of more and more social groups, such as classes, college societies, dormitories and etc.In my view, the problem mentioned above has bee increasingly severe, so great concern is deserved and effective measures are called for. To begin with, it is essential that the school should attach more importance to teaching the concept of thrift. Secondly, students should enhance their awareness that money never stands for affection. Only with these measures taken, I’m convinced, can the craze of spending during graduation be eased.英语四六级范文(篇七)The Importance of Building Trust BetweenTeachers and StudentsA good relationship between a teacher and a studentcan have a major influence on a kid's development, and trust is crucial and indispensable inmaintaining the relationship. To begin with, only when a student believes in his orher teacher is he or she willing to learn from theteacher or look to the teacher for guidance and support. In reality, too many students areweary ofstudy and even drop out of school only because they dislike their teachers, whichmay transform their whole life. Besides, a teacher who has the full trust of his or her studentsis more motivated tohelp them improve the consciousness and initiative of learning, whichin turn benefits the students most. However, the credibility between teachers and students isnot something that can be built in a day. On the one hand, teachers should comprehend thestudents' actual demands and offer timely help. Some wear CK clothes and some carry LV bags. According toan online survey conducted by Tencent in May this year, there are 37 percent students claiming to have a certain luxury. On the basis of the survey, the way of obtaining luxuries is quite different. Some students get them from their parents, as theirfamilies are in good financial condition. Some take part-time jobs to buy luxuries by themselves. For example, a college student named Xiao Mei said she worked as a tutor for three months in order to get a bottle of Dior perfume. Some receive luxuries as a gift from their friends or relatives. As for me, I object to students' using luxuries. It is known that luxuries are notable for their super prices. However, students arenot economically independent and their attention should be paid to study. In this sense, using luxuries is improper for students.英语四六级范文(篇九)There is no denying the fact that it is a hotly debated topic today how college graduates should choose their careers. Some time ago, it was reported that some college graduateschose to work as village officials. To this people’sattitudes differ sharply. Some hold the positive view while others are against it. As far as I am concerned, I believe that it is a wise choice. On the one hand, college graduates can contribute a lot to the development of the countryside. First, they can apply their professional knowledge there. Secondly, they can introduce new concepts to the countryside and speed the development of rural culture. As a result, the gap between the city and the countryside can well be bridged. On the other hand, these graduates can benefit a lot from working as village officials. While too many college graduates are fighting for the handful of positions in big cities, these graduates can find themselves a wider stage of development and realize their value. Therefore, college graduates working as village officials is a win-win choice and more graduates should be encouraged to work in the countryside.。

1.Going Home 回家I first heard this story a few years ago from a girl I had met in New York's Greenwich Village. Probably the story is one of those mysterious bits of folklore that reappear every few years, to be told a new in one form or another. However, I still like to think that it really did happen, somewhere, sometime.

Xizang, located in southwest China, is a mysterious and beautiful place. I have always been full of curiosity and longing for Xizang, and finally have the opportunity to explore there. Our group arrived in Lhasa by plane, where the sky was deep blue and the sunshine was brilliant. I am deeply attracted by this beautiful city. We first visited Jokhang Temple, one of the most famous temples in Xizang. The Buddha statues in the temple are solemn and dignified, giving people a sense of tranquility and peace.Next, we went to the Potala Palace. This magnificent building is located in the center of Lhasa and is one of the landmark buildings in Xizang. We climbed along the mountain road, although it was a bit difficult, when I stood in front of the Potala Palace and looked down on the entire city, the shock and emotion could not be expressed in words.During my trip to Xizang, I also went to many other beautiful places. For example, Namco is the largest lake in Xizang. Its water is crystal clear, and the blue sky and white clouds are reflected in the water, just like a fairyland. There is also the headquarters of Mount Everest. Although I couldn't see the full picture of Mount Everest, standing at an altitudeof over 5000 meters, feeling the grandeur and mystery of nature is also a special experience. This trip to Xizang has made me fruitful. I not only experienced the natural scenery and cultural landscape there, but also learned a lot about Tibetan culture and history. More importantly, this trip has made me love nature more and cherish every moment of my life more. I believe that this unforgettable travel experience will become one of the most precious memories of my life.翻译:题目:描述一次难忘的旅行经历在众多难忘的旅行经历中,我最难忘的一次是去西藏的旅行。

Besides, you can meet and make friends with people of different colors and races. Finally, you can get to know the customs and living habits of the local people. Today people are so fond of travelling that tourism has become one of the faster growing industries in most countries. The main reason why people travel is, perhaps, for pleasure. For example, having worked hard throughout the weekdays, people will find a widened trip to the nearby mountains or beaches a real relaxation. For another example, spending an annual holiday travelling abroad is an especially satisfying experience for those who do not have much of an opportunity to be away from their homelands. When people return from their travel, they will generally feel fresh and energetic, ready to work harder. Travelling is also one of the best means for learning. You may have read or heard about something but you can never get an accurate picture of it until you see it for yourself. Seeing is believing. Furthermore, if you area careful observer, you can learn much during your travel about the geography, biology, and history of the places you visit. No matter how well educated you are, there is always a lot for you to learn through travelling. The knowledge acquired from travel, as you will have found in your life, is no less valuable than that from any influential reference book. 9. The World Population Explosion The human race has experienced a consistent increase in population since the beginning of its history. Famine and disease have done little to offset(抵消)this steady increase. Too many people are added annually to the population of the world. So both the causes of population increase and the results of having more people are worth careful study. Culture evolution is the major factor responsible for population increase. Early in human development, people invented tools to hunt animals. Later they built shelters to protect themselves. Step by step, they made life easier. As a result, fewer died from natural forces, such as harsh climate and disease. In the past, when population grew, there was unexplored territory to inhabit. But now, almost all the habitable land has been explored. The world's population may reach 8.7 billion in 2033. It is clear that world population is a serious issue that needs careful attention. Human beings are unique to solve problems through cultural evolution.(发展) Facing the world population explosion in the near future. We must carry out the birth control program in order to save the mankind and save the world. 10. Opening-door Policy is the Only Way to Make China StrongModern Chinese history leads us to the conclusion that socialism, not capitalism is best for China. But how a socialist China should look at capitalism and more importantly, make use of the better side of capitalism for its own advantage is of vital(⾄关) importance to the country. As far as our country's economic construction is concerned, taking advantage of the part of capitalism that is useful to us means we need to develop foreign trade, introduce advanced technology and better management, and make use of foreign funds. It also means we can absorb some of the economic theories, and make use of those economic policies, methods and measures that comply with(遵循) the law of mass production and a commodity economy. By opening our windows wider to the outside world, people can learn more about other peoples and learn to make sensible judgments. Absorbing the better part of the cultures of other people to enrich ourselves is the best way to safeguard our socialist culture. So taking advantage of capitalism and stepping up economic reforms is the only way to make Chinastrong. Closing the county to international exchanges will only keep it weak. 11. Choosing an Occupation Every one faces the problem of choosing an occupation after graduation from college or university, which plays a vital role in his life. An appropriate occupation makes a man work with zest(热情) and vigor, as well as contribute to his country. To make a wise choice, two important things should be taken into consideration. One is the interest, the other, the demands of people and society. Only if the two aspects are connected, can a man show his talent and ability to the best advantage. If the two conflict, the former should be under the latter, for the people's interests are more important than the individual's. In regard to my choice in the future, I am fond of learning foreign languages; what is more, with the implementation of the Open-Door Policy, exchange between home and abroad in economy and culture has been growing significantly, thus I'm determined to be a qualified interpreter.。

1SampleDue Attention Should Be Given to SpeakingNowadays fewer and fewer students pay attention to their spoken English, which results in a dramatic increase in the number of students who can spell English words but are incapable of speaking them fluently or correctly. This phenomenon has aroused many people’s attention. Why do es such a phenomenon emerge? As far as I’m concerned, there are possibly two reasons contributing to this phenomenon. On the one hand, exam-oriented education makes many schools lay emphasis on passing the English exams, which leads to the lack of speaking environment for students to practice their spoken English. On the other hand, students themselves don’t realize the importance of the ability to speak English which has a great influence on their futurestudy and career development. To change this situation, I think, we can take the following measures. First, the importance of oral English should be emphasized to raise students’ awareness of the necessity of speaking English. Second, exams should be modified to make students pay attention to their spoken English. Third, schools can organize various activities to arouse students’ interest in speaking English.大学四级英语口语文章篇2Were I supposed to introduce one place in my campus for my foreign friend, the first place come up to our mind automatically is the student pavilion. The reason why I am in favor of it is that student pavilion plays a positive role in improving students’ studies. Due to their heavy schedules, students are often busy with textbooks and seldom expose themselves to a colorful life. But the place holds a variety of activities from time to time ranging from academic to recreational, such as academic reports, speech contests, painting’s clubs, etc. All these activities provide opportunities for students to enrich their knowledge and relax themselves. All in all, student pavilion opens the door for students to develop and enjoy themselves. I am sure if you come to the student pavilion, you’ll be bound to love it.大学四级英语口语文章篇3Each year, numerous university graduates stop at a fork on the road to put t heir four years’ knowledge and experience into application. Lying ahead are two possible paths in two directions, leading to an unknown future: one is to find a job somewhere and the other to start a business of your own. The question never fails to confuse the youngsters.Ideas conflict on the choice because choice is to be for advantages and against disadvantages, but no one knows which move is the best for the rest of life journey. For one thing, to find a job means, as an employee, to be recruited by a company, with mature system and managerial structure helping an fresh staff quickly adapt to the working environment. For another thing, to start a business of your own indicates to run a business with your own hands, which provides a possibility to be more active, creative and productive. As for me, without business family and background, it is advisable to find a job rather than to start a business of my own, because only in this way can I learn with the directors and colleagues, being familiar with working process and enriching social experience.。

Reading selectively can help us concentrate our limited time and attention on those selected books. Others think we should read extensively. No matter what kind of book it is, we should look it over. We should read various kinds of books, whether we are interested in them or not. They maintain that reading extensively can help to enlarge our view and grasp the general knowledge in different fields. In my opinion, the two reading ways have their roles respectively in our reading. However, the disadvantages of each methods are easy to see. If we only read the books we select or prefer, the framework of our knowledge may not be complete. Our knowledge would be rather limited. And if we read without selection, we may not have so much time and energy to be specialized in one particular field. Therefore, the combination of the two methods is more reasonable.2.⼤学英语六级⼝语考试范⽂ there are many theories about the beginning of drama in ancient greece. the on most widely accepted today is based on the assumption that drama evolved from ritual. the argument for this view goes as follows. in the beginning, human beings viewed the natural forces of the world-even the seasonal changes-as unpredictable, and they sought through various means to control these unknown and feared powers. those measures which appeared to bring the desired results were then retained and repeated until they hardened into fixed rituals. eventually stories arose which explained or veiled the mysteries of the rites. as time passed some rituals were abandoned, but the stories, later called myths, persisted and provided material for art and drama. those who believe that drama evolved out of ritual also argue that those rites contained the seed of theater because music, dance, masks, and costumes were almost always used, furthermore, a suitable site had to be provided for performances and when the entire community did not participate, a clear division was usually made between the "acting area" and the "auditorium." in addition, there were performers, and, since considerable importance was attached to avoiding mistakes in the enactment of rites, religious leaders usually assumed that task. wearing masks and costumes, they often impersonated other people, animals, or supernatural beings, and mimed the desired effect-success in hunt or battle, the coming rain, the revival of the sun-as an actor might. eventually such dramatic representations were separated from religious activities. another theory traces the theater's origin from the human interest in storytelling. according to this vies tales (about the hunt, war, or other feats) are gradually elaborated, at first through the use of impersonation, action, and dialogue by a narrator and then through the assumption of each of the roles by a different person. a closely related theory traces theater to those dances that are primarily rhythmical and gymnastic or that are imitations of animal movements and sounds.3.⼤学英语六级⼝语考试范⽂ the american revolution was not a sudden and violent overturning of the political and social framework, such as later occurred in france and russia, when both were already independent nations. significant changes were ushered in, but they were not breathtaking. what happened was accelerated evolution rather than outright revolution. during the conflict itself people went on working and praying, marrying and playing. most of them were not seriously disturbed by the actual fighting, and many of the more isolated communities scarcely knew that a war was on. america's war of independence heralded the birth of three modern nations. one was canada, which received its first large influx of english-speaking population from the thousands of loyalists who fled there from the united states. another was australia, which became a penal colony now that america was no longer available for prisoners and debtors. the third newcomer-the united states-based itself squarely on republican principles. yet even the political overturn was not so revolutionary as one might suppose. in some states, notably connecticut and rhode island, the war largely ratified a colonial self-rule already existing. british officials, everywhere ousted, were replaced by a home-grown governing class, which promptly sought a local substitute for king and parliament.4.⼤学英语六级⼝语考试范⽂ As some of you may know,Lucy,a lovely girl student,a junior from the Department of Fine Arts, has been seriously ill.In fact, she has been suffering from hepatitis, which is very dangerous. Books, tapes, VCDs and others high-tech products have been pirated. For instance, when a new product comes onto market, most probably, its pirated counterpart will soon put on its appearance in the market, too. Piracy has caused a great loss to legitimate producers, inventors and writers in many ways. To start with, the pirated products often cost much less than the genuine ones so that they enjoy a better trading position in spite of their relatively poor quality. The genuine products, on the contrary, sell poorly. What's worse, pirated books sometimes do great harm to the authors' reputation due to some misprints. In the long run, pirated products may have a negative impact on customers. Those legitimate producers' creativity and enthusiasm may be deeply hurt by the fact that some customers are more interested in the pirated products for the sake of small gains. In my opinion, it's high time that everyone started the battle against piracy. First, customers should develop their consciousness to resist the pirated products. Second, the government should take effective measures to put an end to piracy. Finally, laws must be strictly enforced to completely ban piracy. Only in this way can we wipe the pirated products out of our life.。

It is an electronic revolution of sorts, made possible by the marriage of television and computer technologies. The word "television", derived from its Greek (tele: distant) and Latin (visio: sight) roots, can literally be interpreted as sight from a distance. Very simply put, it works in this way: through a sophisticated system of electronics, television provides the capability of converting an image (focused on a special photoconductive plate within a camera) into electronic impulses, which can be sent through a wire or cable. These impulses, when fed into a receiver (television set), can then be electronically reconstituted into that same image.Television is more than just an electronic system, however. It is a means of expression, as well as a vehicle for communication, and as such becomes a powerful tool for reaching other human beings. The field of television can be divided into two categories determined by its means of transmission. First, there is broadcast television, which reaches the masses through broad-based airwave transmission of television signals. Second, there is nonbroadcast television, which provides for the needs of individuals or specific interest groups through controlled transmission techniques.Traditionally, television has been a medium of the masses. We are most familiar with broadcast television because it has been with us for about thirty-seven years in a form similar to what exists today. During those years, it has been controlled, for the most part, by the broadcast networks, ABC, NBC, and CBS, who have been the major purveyors of news, information, and entertainment. These giants of broadcasting have actually shaped not only television but our perception of it as well. We have come to look upon the picture tube as a source of entertainment, placing our role in this dynamic medium as the passive viewer.07 Andrew CarnegieAndrew Carnegie, known as the King of Steel, built the steel industry in the United States, and ,in the process, became one of the wealthiest men in America. His success resulted in part from his ability to sell the product and in part from his policy of expanding during periods of economic decline, when most of his competitors were reducing their investments.Carnegie believed that individuals should progress through hard work, but he also felt strongly that the wealthy should use their fortunes for the benefit of society. He opposed charity, preferring instead to provide educational opportunities that would allow others to help themselves. "He who dies rich, dies disgraced," he often said.Among his more noteworthy contributions to society are those that bear his name, including the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh, which has a library, a museum of fine arts, and a museum of national history. He also founded a school of technology that is now part of Carnegie-Mellon University. Other philanthrophic gifts are the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to promote understanding between nations, the Carnegie Institute of Washington to fund scientific research, and Carnegie Hall to provide a center for the arts.Few Americans have been left untouched by Andrew Carnegie's generosity. His contributions of more than five million dollars established 2,500 libraries in small communities throughout the country and formed the nucleus of the public library system that we all enjoy today.08 American RevolutionThe American Revolution was not a sudden and violent overturning of the political and social framework, such as later occurred in France and Russia, when both were already independent nations. Significant changes were ushered in, but they were not breathtaking. What happened was accelerated evolution rather than outright revolution.
