SPEAKERSConnect speakers/subwoofers to these terminals. Be sure to check wire for proper polarity. Never connect the speaker cables to chassis ground.2. +12 Volt PowerConnect this terminal through a FUSE or CIRCUIT BREAKER to the positive terminal of the vehicle battery or the positive terminal of an isolated audio system battery. Warning: Always protect this power cable by installing a fuse or circuit breaker of the appropriate size within 18 inches (45cm) of the battery terminal connection.3.Remote Turn OnThis terminal turns on the amplifier when (+)12 volt is applied to it . Connect it to the remote turn on lead of the head unit or signal source.4.GNDConnect this cable directly to the frame of the vehicle. Make sure the metal frame has been stripped of all paint down to the bare metal. Use the shortest distance possible. It is always a good idea to replace the factory ground at this time with a larger cable equal to the new amplifier power cable or larger. CAUTION: Do not connect this terminal directly to the vehicle battery ground terminal or any other factory ground points.5. RCA input jacksThese RCA input jacks are for use with source units that have RCA outputs. A source unit with a minimum level of 200mV is required for proper operation. The use of high quality twisted pair cables is recommended to decrease the possibility of radiated noise entering the system.6. High level inputsThe high level inputs are for use with speaker level wiring. Some source units do not have RCA outputs, so use this terminal for speaker level signal input. CAUTION: Never usehigh level input when RCA inputs available.CONTROL FUNCTIONS7. REMOTEConnect the remote controller to control the subwoofer amplifier volume from thedriver seat location, for ease of adjustment during playing.8. LEVEL ControlThe level control will match the amplifiers sensitivity to the source units signalCONTROL FUNCTIONS voltage. The Operating range is 200mV minimum to 5V maximum. This is NOT a volume control!9. Low Pass Filter Control (Mono)This control is used to select the desired low pass x-over frequency. The frequencycan be adjusted from 40Hz to 220Hz for all bass mono models.10. Subsonic Filter ControlThis control can filter out unwanted low frequency from 10Hz (OFF) to 50Hz. This function will increase the power handling of your woofers.11. Bass Boost Frequency and Level Control (Mono and 2-ch)By adjusting these two knobs, you can boost a wanted frequency to a wanted level. The center boost frequency is adjustable from 30Hz to 90Hz, the boost level is adjustablefrom 0dB to 12dB.12. Phase ControlThis control can adjust speaker output phase from 0 to 180 degrees infinitely tomatch your system phase characteristics.13. X-over mode and frequency Control (4-ch)These controls allow control over the frequencies played for the front channels. There is an option for Low Pass, Full Range or High Pass. In LP or HP mode the frequencyrange is from 50Hz to 4kHz.CONTROL FUNCTIONS14. X-over mode and frequency Control (4-ch)These controls allow control over the frequencies played for the rear channels. There is an option for Low/BandPass, Full Range or High Pass. In HP mode, the frequency range is from 15Hz to 500Hz. In LP mode, the frequency range can be switched from 50Hz to 800Hz, or 250Hz to 4kHz. In the higher range, the LPF can be set at 4kHz for a midbass while the front channels are also set at 4kHz for a tweeter resulting in a 2-way xover and eliminating the need for a passive xover. Even with a set up like this, the midbass can still be protected by the HPF which is not defeatable. It can be set anywhere in the 15Hz to 500Hz range creating a bandpass filter for the midbass by eliminating any damaging lower frequencies in the subbass region.15. Bass Boost Level switch (4-ch)This switch can boost bass level by 0dB, 6dB or 12dB. The boost frequency is centered at 50Hz.16. Input mode switch (4-ch)This function is for switching the rear channels' signal path. When switched to 4CH, all 4 RCAs inputs are required. When switched to 2CH, the rear channels get their signal input from the front channels in parallel.17. X-over mode and frequency Control (2-ch)These controls allow control over the frequencies played for STL2.350 & STL2.560. There is an option for Low Pass, Full Range or High Pass. In LP mode the frequency range is from 50Hz to 200Hz, In HP mode the frequency range is from 15Hz to 200Hz.18. Power IndicatorThis LED will light up when amplifier works properly.19. Installation hardware is available in both galvanized and stainless steel options.PR-PRODUCT PRESENTATIONTotal Bird ExclusionBird Barrier’s StealthNet offers the latest technology in total bird exclusion of sparrows, starlings, swallows, pigeons, gulls, crows and any other pest bird. StealthNet is fast becoming the most widely used netting for bird exclusion across America.Strong, Versatile NettingThe net is made from high density, ultra-violet stabilized polyethylene twine, a material that will last ten years or more if installed correctly. Because StealthNet is knotted from a strong cabled twine, it is more than five times stronger than inferior plastic molded nets; it will not rip apart under normal stress, or sag over time.InvisibleStealthNet’s twine, while very strong, is actually very thin. And because it is available in black, white, stone (beige)and the net can always be chosen in a color that will blend in with the background. The final result is always a secure and permanent solution that is very hard to see.Multiple Mesh SizesBecause pest birds vary in size, StealthNet is available in different mesh sizes for different birds. For example, 3/4” mesh for sparrows and swallows, 1-1/8” mesh for starlings, 2” mesh for pigeons, and 4” mesh for gulls and crows. Obviously, smaller birds can penetrate larger mesh nets, so care must be taken to identify the pest birds correctly. No Size LimitStealthNet is readily available in a whole host of pre-cut sizes, from 25’ x 25’ up to 50’ x 100’. And, for no extra per-foot cost, it is available in custom sizes up to 500’ x 500’. That means large net jobs can be installed without seams which take extra time and weaken the overall net job.Access Behind NetStealthNet zippers or net clips can be installed in the netting in any application to allow for access to enclosed areas, maintenance, changing of light-bulbs, etc. Many UsesStealthNet has literally thousands of applications including: courtyards, warehouse ceilings, bridge undersides, air conditioning enclosures, signs and billboards, church steeples, ledges, balconies, alleys, loading docks, hangars, patios, eaves, roofs, ponds, vineyards and faces of entire buildings. Installation HardwareStealthNet’s comprehensive hardware has options for any mounting surface including stone, concrete, steel, wood, stucco and brick. A strong cable system is actually boltedor fastened securely to the building before the netting is installed. This insures a strong, solid, non-moving system that will not weaken over time. And because all fixtures are mechanical (no adhesives, Velcro etc.), you can be assuredof an installation that will stand the test of time. Specialized tools for the netting and hardware are available from Bird Barrier.StealthNetMaterial: Ultra-violet stabilized polyethylene plasticConstruction: 3 x 2 ply. StealthRay™In-Motion Satellite CommunicationsPRODUCT DESCRIPTION:The StealthRay™ is a breakthrough in two-way satellite communication. The StealthRay’s™ low profile (5.9”), array antenna system is designed to provide communications for vehicles on-the-move. The innovative antenna system automatically searches for and acquires the designated satellite signal and maintains pointing via automatic tracking and control of the azimuth, elevation and polarization angles while the vehicle is in motion. The StealthRay™ offers valuable utility across a wide range of applications, including emergency communications, since it can provide public safety authorities and first responders with a high-speed satellite communications link to moving vehicles independent of terrestrial infrastructures that are susceptible to local service interruptions, natural disasters and sabotage. Since it does not rely on terrestrial networks, it also offers applications for industries typically operating across remote geographic areas unserved by wireless carriers as well as military operations. Those industries most notably include energy, natural resources, transportation and conservation.SYSTEM COMPONENTS:The StealthRay™ consists of a low-profile, vehicle roof-mounted array antenna connected to a controller and a satellite modem inside the vehicle. The roof mounted antenna includes the BUC (Block Up Converter) and the LNB. The controller supplies the power to the antenna and controls the antenna movements.Additional networking equipment such as a router, Wi-Fi access point, as well as encryption systems are optional for creating a mobile, secure, in-motion hotspot.45.3” L35.4” W5.9” HSYSTEM OPERATION:No manual pointing is requiredUsing GPS signals to determine its location, the StealthRay™ automatically acquires and tracks the satellite.On-the-move automatic re-peakingBuilt-in gyros allow fast recovery from line-of-sight blockages. The antenna uses a hybrid mechanical and electronic scanning process to maintain pointing accuracy.Adjacent satellite interference protectionIn the event the antenna pointing is off by more than 0.5 degrees, the return link transmission is automatically muted until the pointing error is corrected by the antenna’s sophisticated tracking system. Modem compatibilityThe StealthRay™ system is modem agnostic and will support all RaySat authorized SCPC satellite modems and VSATs.CABLING:The roof mounted antenna is connected with three cables to the controller and modem within the vehicle:Two RJ-58 cables using F-type connectors connect the antenna to the satellite modem (transmit signal and receive signal). One RJ-58 control cable using TNC connectors connects the antenna to the controller (for DC power and control data).APPLICATIONS:High-speed Com-on-the-Move (COTM) for military vehicles and operationsEmergency communications for federal, state and local first respondersHigh-speed communications for trains and other commercial enterprise customersHigh-speed Internet access for moving vehicles such as motor-homes, buses, vans and SUV’s8460-D Tyco Road, Vienna, VA 22182 800.561.9280 703-584-3770StealthRay™ SpecificationsKEY FEATURESAntenna• Low profile 5.9" height - blends into the vehicle and can include matching color options • Simple installation on any luggage rack, flat roof or under the roof with a false ceiling; only the radome is visible• Stand alone unit, complete with all required RF hardware including Block Up Converter (BUC)• Operates off a vehicle's standard 12V DC power supply with minimal power consumption • Auto satellite tracking / in-motion operation / hands free operation • Compatible with any Ku-band satellite and is modem agnosticANTENNA PERFORMANCE AND DATA RATES *Receive (forward link) Up to 15MbpsTransmit (return link) 64 Kbps - 384 Kbps (internal 3 watt BUC)512 Kbps - 2Mbps (external BUC)* System performance varies as a function of the satellite link (beam EIRP and G/T) and the satellite modem parameters.ANTENNA PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICSDimensions 45.3” x 35.4” x 5.9” Rack with complete systemWeight 66 lbs total (antenna - 62lbs, controller - 4lbs) Electrical interfacesPower supply 30V DC provided by the antenna controller Output\Input impendence 50 ohmsEnvironmentalAmbient temperature range Operational: -13o F to 122oF ambient Relative Humidity 0-100% condensingMobile Platform Ground Speed Operational up to 220 mphANTENNA CHARACTERISTICSFrequency range Receive 11.7 - 12.75 GHzTransmit14.0 - 14.5 GHzPolarization Orthogonal linear (auto polarization control) Uplink EIRP 32 dBW Gain TX: 27 dBi RX: 29.3 dBi G/T 7.6 dB/°K @ 30° Sidelobe level -12 dB TX Cross polarization > 30 dB Azimuth / elevation beam coverage 360° continuous Az 25° - 70° El IF input / outputL-Band 950 - 2150 MHzSIGNAL ACQUISITION AND TRACKINGSignal acquisition & lock Automatic <60˚ sec Polarization angle adjustment Automatic Tracking speed 60°/sec Re-acquisition < 1 sec for blockage length up to 3 min Azimuth tracking accuracy < 0.3° nominal Elevation tracking accuracy < 0.35° Polarization adjustment accuracy < 1°ANTENNA CONTROL UNIT (ACU)Power supply 12V DC Power consumption 5A (ACU & antenna w/ internal BUC) System interface CLI over RS-232 Modem interface Proprietary over RS-232RaySat Antenna Systems, LLC • 8460-D Tyco Rd. • Vienna, VA 22182 • 703.584.3770 • ©2006, RaySat Antenna Systems, LLC.
