警察今天把你爸爸的尸体挖出来了。

-Mary Alice: Bree felt threatened by the past.

threaten: 威胁

往事给Bree带来威胁。

-Carlos: Get the damn lawyer.

damn: 该死的

把该死的律师找来。

-Gabrielle: Are you hitting on me?

hit on: 搭讪，挑逗【hit somebody 是“打某人”的意思，但是 hit on somebody 就不一样了。hit on somebody 就是“搭讪”的意思,另外还有come on/with to sb.也有类似的意思，口语中表示: 调戏(某人)，显得对(某人)动了情欲，挑动情欲；还记得有一集中Susan的妈妈说有人想泡她，大家还记得她是怎么表达的吗？她用的是dip(dip是浸，沾之意)用dip很形象，也很有趣。】

你是在挑逗我么？

-Mary Alice: Gabrielle was threatened by seduction.

seduction: 诱惑，引诱

Gabrielle的威胁来自于诱惑。

-Zach: Do you mean Julie?

你是说Julie?

If I come back with you, then I can make it up to her.

make up for: 弥补，偿还

我跟你回去，我就能弥补她了。

-Susan: You should find your father first. Let me help.

你应该先找你的爸爸，我帮你。

-Mary Alice: And while some threats... were kept under control...

threat: 威胁，恐吓 keep under control: 掌握，控制 control: 控制，掌握

一些威胁，尽在掌握中...

-Paul: Let's get this over with.

get over: 度过，结束

你动手吧。【Paul在这里所指的是让Mike开枪，结束他的生命。】

-Mary Alice: Some were left free to return.

return: 返回，回来

而另外一些则成为后患。

Since her first day on the job, it had been clear to Lynette Scavo that her new boss, Nina, was unusually tense.

But nothing seemed to ease Nina’s tension.

-Mary Alice: Until one day, when it occurred to Lynette there was one form of relaxation she had yet to try.
