(失去几盎司,省下几英磅。) 上面是一则减肥食品的广告。pounds 一语双关,既可代表 “英镑”(货币单位),又可代表“英磅”(重量单位), 但在本广告中应指“英磅”,与其前的“盎司”相对比,妙 趣横生。使读者不难理解,该食品价廉物美又不会使人发胖。
3) 省略句 在英语广告中,省略句比比皆是,甚至
