交通运输专业英语翻译Traffic jam and the consequences such as noise, airpollution, violence and human stress are becoming the common scenario of large metropolitan areas everywhere.Roads are normally traffic saturated and new constructions suffer of long delays due to government budget restraints.Can modern technology be used to substantially improve the existing urban traffic capacity? The objective of this study is to bring up alternatives for urban transportation improvement based on recent available technologies. In particular the automation of highways, having automobiles and buses controlled by computers in platoon formation, is envisioned to improve highway jams. In USA, Japan and Europe, several studies and experiments have been done in this direction. The PATH program of the highway system of California, a cooperative program of universities, research institutes, government agencies and the private sector, involving multidisciplinary knowledge , has been an inspiration for this work [l]. 内燃机是最常见的:它通过在发动机汽缸里面燃烧一种液体燃料获得动力。
有2种形式的发动机:汽油机(也叫做火花点燃式发动机)和柴油机(也叫做压燃式发动机)两种发动机均被称为热机,有燃烧的燃油产生热,引起气缸内气体的压力升高,并输出动力使连接到传动系的轴旋转。
Suspension悬架车桥和车轮通过悬架系统与底盘隔开。
悬架系统的基本作用是吸收由不规则路面引起的振动,从而有助于把车辆保持在一个受控的水平方向上,否则振动将传至车辆和车辆上的乘员。
Steering转向系通过司机控制方向盘,转向系统为前轮转向提供手段。
转向系统为减少转动方向盘所需的力以及让车辆更易操纵提供了强力的帮助支持。
Brakes制动系汽车上的制动系统有三个主要的功能。
它必须能让车辆在必要时减速;它必须能让车辆在尽可能短的一段距离内停下;它必须能让车辆保持怠速。
由于制动器迫使固定表面(制动衬片)接触旋转表面(鼓式或盘式)产生的摩擦力来完成刹车动作。

当活塞运动到行程终点时进气阀关闭,因为两个阀都关闭着,所以使得汽缸上端密封。
在图2.2b中,活塞正向上运动,压缩汽缸和活塞之间的燃油混合物至一个很小的体积,--这就是压缩行程。
在到达上止点前,由火花塞电极产生的一个电火花,点燃了空气燃油混合物。
为了得到良好的性能,点火时刻必须精确控制。
随着空气燃油混合物燃烧,热空气膨胀气缸压力急剧上升,以致活塞被迫向汽缸下方运动。
使连杆对曲轴作用一个相当大的回转力。
这就是燃烧行程,也叫做做功行程,见图2.2c。
一旦混合物燃烧,它必须尽可能快的从汽缸内排出,在排气行程中,上升着的活塞把热空气和燃烧产物通过打开的排气阀和排气系统推出汽缸,排到空气中。
该行程依次按顺序连续循环,动力只在4个行程之一的燃烧行程传递给转轴。
由于与曲轴相连的一个很重的飞轮存在的动能,曲轴在别的行程中才能持续旋转。
注意到曲轴在一个四冲程循环中转过2圈,一个火花塞只在一个行程中出现在汽缸内。
在多缸的发动机中,为了发动机平稳的运转,每个汽缸的做功行程相间隔,以至于动力能持续的传递给曲轴。
Carbureted fuel system化油系统在化油器中有六个不同的系统使它工作,这些系统在化油器中的排列方式决定了化油器的尺寸和形状。

然而,所有的化油器都是相似的,如果你了解了一种简单的单腔式化油器,你就能够运用这些知识来了解四腔化油器。
如果你研究各种系统的说明,你会发现化油器不如你想象的那么复杂。
事实上,考虑到他们完成的工作,它们很简单。
电子反馈化油器和传统化油器按照同样的工作原理进行工作,同时还有额外的优势,即通过电子控制的使用,减少尾气排放。
这个系统利用电子信号来精确控制化油器中的空燃比。
这些电子信号由氧传感器,节油阀位置传感器,冷却液温度传感器,气压计或歧管压力传感器产生。
那么反过来说,三元催化剂的使用允许发动机产生正确的废气混合物。
三元催化剂的设计是用来把这种污染物,碳氢化合物(HC),一氧化碳(CO),和氮氧化合物转化成无害物质。

大部分的燃料喷射系统依靠以下的一些信息来进行正确的操作:温度传感器——它包括空气温度和冷却液温度。
温度决定了混合物应该浓。
温度越低时稀,混合物越浓。
节油阀位置传感器或者转换器——计算机运用这些信息来决定节油阀气门的位置。
一些汽车在任何时刻都运用传感器来反映节油阀的精确位置。
其他的汽车运用转换器则仅仅来反映节油阀关闭和完全打开两个状态。
空气流量传感器——这种传感器同样也帮助计算机通过控制定量的空气进入发动机,来决定发动机的负荷。
空气流量传感器有很多种不同的形式,但最终都在做同样的工作。
歧管压力传感器——假如一辆汽车没装备空气流量传感器,那么它将用一个歧管压力传感器来决定发动机的负荷。
当发动机的负荷增加时,进气歧管的压力也随之增加。
发动机转速和位置传感器——发动机转速和位置传感器的信息可以由曲轴,凸轮轴或者两者一起共同确定。
除了帮助发动机决定负荷,这些传感器还能告诉计算机喷油器什么时候喷射。
这些系统在一个相对很高的压力下工作。
为了控制燃料的压力,一个燃料压力传感器被运用。
当发动机负荷增加时,燃料需要更大的压力。
这是由于混合物浓度变大,以及要克服汽缸中增大的空气压力。
没有用到的燃料经过回油管流回油箱。
喷油器可以一束,一排,或连续进行喷射。
在单孔喷油系统中所有喷油器同步喷油,这个时刻通常是在第一个汽缸压缩行程的上止点。
多孔喷油系统分为两排独立的喷油孔,当第一个汽缸处在排气行程上止点时,第一个喷油孔喷油。
对于连续喷射系统,每一个喷油器在它对应的汽缸处于压缩行程上止点时喷油。
这种方式往往是最高效的燃料喷射方式。
反馈燃料喷射系统运用氧传感器来精确监控空气燃料混合物。
通过运用氧传感器产生的信号,计算机能够改变喷油器的脉冲宽度。
喷油器喷油时间越长,燃料混合物越浓。
P25 离合器离合器是一种连接和脱离发动机的动力的装置,使汽车停止和启动。
压盘或“主动件”用螺栓连接在发动机的飞轮上,离合器片或“从动件”位于飞轮和压盘之间。
离合器压片用花键与从变速器伸出的轴(通常称为离合器轴或输入轴)连接,与飞轮结合。
当离合器和压盘通过摩擦缩在一起时,离合器轴与发动机曲轴一起旋转。
动力从发动机经过不同的齿轮比传递到变速器,从而获得最佳速度和动力来启动和保持汽车运行。
P28主减速器发动机曲轴与后轴成直角,因此必须在后轴上安装某种类型的齿轮装置,以便把动力传递到其轴线与传动轴成直角的每个后轮上。
有几种形式的齿轮装置,使得动力从一个轴传输到和它成直角的另一个轴,并且没有任何明显的功率损耗。
现在汽车主减速器被设计在4:1和5:1之间的减速比,当顶部或直接驱动齿轮与变速箱啮合时,以便后轮驱动以发动机转速的四分之一到五分之一,用于汽车实践的重要类型是:(1)斜齿轮;(2)蜗轮蜗杆。

除了多种前进挡,变速器同样有空挡切断发动机传给车轮的动力,然后转向,这就引起车轮转向相反的方向来使你倒退,最后有一个驻车档,在这一位置,挂钩装置被插入到输出轴的细长孔中来锁住车轮,阻碍它们转动,从而阻碍车辆的转动。
