Meeting Guests at the Airport

(Scene)In the international airport lobby, Zhou Dao, a young

escort-service guide from the JiangXi Travel Service, is greeting a tourist group from the United Kingdom headed by James

Z: Excuse me, are you Mr. Swift from London?

J: Yes .I am James Swift.

Z: How charming of meeting you !I am Zhou Dao ,your tourist guide from the JiangXi Travel Service .Just call me Xiao Zhou or Dao as you like .I’ve come to meet you .

J: Charming to meet you, too.

Z: Welcome to China! (Zhou Dao shakes hands with Mr. Swift and others)So, how was your flight? Did your have a good trip?

J: Nice food and good service .Actually, quite pleasant.

Z: You must feel quite tired after the long flight .You all need a good rest first.

J: Honestly, we are so excited that we’ve finally arrived at the country which we have been wishing to visit for years.

Z: you will have plenty of time to see all the famous scenic spots in our province. Is everyone in the group here?

J: Yes, a party of ten, including 5 ladies and 5 gentlemen.

Z: Perfect .Shall we go now? May I help you with your luggage, Mr. Swift?

J: No, thanks .I can manage.

Z: Please follow me .The shuttle bus is just waiting in the parking lot.

J: Hurry up, guys!

A Welcome Speech

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to jiangxi province of China .Allow me to introduce myself first. My name is Zhou Dao, your tourist guide from the JiangXi Travel Service, which in Chinese means considerate and thoughtful .I Hope I can present you a considerate and rewarding trip. Just call me Xiao

Zhou or Dao as you like. And this is Mr. Qiu, our driver, who has had 15years of driving experience .Meanwhile, his full name is Qiu AnQuan, which in Chinese means safety first .He will guarantee your safety and security. We take great pleasure to have all of you here.

I will be with you during your one –week tour in our province and we will be at your service at any time. We will do everything possible to make your visit a pleasant experience. If you have any problems or suggestion, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

The hotel which we are heading for is jiangxi Hotel, one of the five-star hotels in this city .There is warm and efficient service with extensive leisure facilities. We will do our best to make your trip enjoyable and memorable .Hope you enjoy your stay here.

On the Way to the Hotel

Z: Now, I’d like to introduce something about this city .NanChang, the capital of JiangXi Province, has a written history of civilization and boasts rich cultural relics and historical sites. It attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists every year. It is the ChangJiu Highway that connects NanChang and the other parts of China together.
