新托福task1部分是一个阅读,听力和写作于一体的综合写作题目。广大考生如果想要在这个部分取得高分就必须从阅读、听力和写作三个方面着手，不断提高自己的英语能力。这类题目会先给考生3分钟读一篇文章（大概200字左右），然后听一段关于对此文章的评论，结束后让考生写出150-225字的作文，典型的问法是：Summarize the points made in the lecture you just heard, explaining how they cast doubt on point made in the reading。听力结束后，阅读部分会再次出现并保留在电脑屏幕的左半部分，考生便可以开始写作，写作时间为20分钟。

其中oppose,challenge可以替换为object,contradict,rebut, refute,reject,contend 等;
