Foreign Student Dormitory Management Approach Of Leshan

Vocational & Technical College

In order to strengthen the standardized management of foreign student dormitory, maintain the students’ legitimate rights and the public order of departments, and create a safe, clean, civilized environment for students to learn and study. This rule is made according to the Regulations for College Students made by Ministry of Education, the relevant spirit of a document of local educational department and the actual situation of our college.

Ⅰ.Admission procedures

1. The formal foreign student who is approved by college and register in our college could apply for a student dormitory with the letter of admission, ordinary passport and valid visa. When the foreign students check in the dormitory they must show the check-in list issued by the college and hand to the dormitory managers.

2. Foreign Student Dormitory Management Office made the unified deployment of the dormitory and students must live in the specified room. Without permission students are not allowed to exchange room privately. If students need to change room really or adjust the bed, they need submit an application to Foreign Student Dormitory Management Office. After being approved for replacement or adjustment, the students could exchange.

3. The key of the dormitory can not be lent or copied privately. Once the key is lost, the student should promptly report to the dormitory manager, in order to replace the lock core. The students should pay for the relevant fees. The dormitory managers uniformly keep spare keys. If the facilities (including electrical equipments) have some problems, the students should tell the dormitory manager timely.

4. The self-financed students should pay off the accommodation fee of each semester in the first week, and clean fees according to the practical accommodation days.

Ⅱ.Rules of Accommodation

1. Foreign students must strictly abide by the Chinese laws, regulations and the college rules. The students should keep dormitory rest time-table, abide by the visitor registration system, and obey the dormitory manager’s management. The students should not transfer, sublet or accommodate others without authorization. If the students violated the above regulations, the college can consider the seriousness of the case, and then let him quit the dormitory and make punishments according to relevant

provisions.

2 .Foreign students must protect public facilities and articles, and compensation is required if any damage made. Do not scrawl all over the wall and avoid hammering nails in the wall, and artificial damaging should be compensated. During the rest time, do not shout in the dormitory or turn on the loudspeaker with high power, so as not to affect the others rest.

3. To maintain public hygiene and keep clean indoor and outdoor. Articles are not allowed to hang out of the windows. Dogs, cats, and other pets are not allowed to feed. Throwing articles out of windows of dormitory is prohibited, as it could endangering the safety of others and damage public hygiene.

4. Pay attention to electrical safety, unauthorized removal and modification of equipment and dormitory building power lines is prohibited; indoor use of fire is strictly prohibited. The open fire, electric heater and other powerful electricity is prohibited. Do not put the energized lamp, wiring board, charger and so on in bedding, mosquito nets, boxes and other flammable substances. Smoking, throwing fire burning materials or burning articles is forbidden. In the dormitory, storing exp losive, corrosive, toxic materials is prohibited. If there is violation to this regulation, the corresponding equipment will be confiscated and the students will be fined depending on the severity. If there is accident caused by adding devices without approval, the perpetrators will be responsible for all of its losses and the corresponding legal liability.

5. Pay attention to fire. Do not store, and burn any inflammable and explosive or other dangerous articles in the dormitory. Do not move or damage the fire equipment privately. Do not heap objects in corridors and other public areas, and otherwise they will be regarded as waste disposal. When there is long-term being out, for practice, travel or other reasons, please cut off all power indoor and inform the administrator. If there is any non-compliance, causing a fire, the perpetrators will be responsible for all of its losses and the corresponding legal liability.

Ⅲ.Rules for Meeting Visitors

1. All the visitors coming to the foreign students’ dormitories must show their identifications. If they need to enter the dormitories, they are expected to put the identification in the duty room and fill the reception card.
