I’m very glad to share my teac hing plan with you .Now I’m going to say the lesson of Unit 5“If you go to the party,you’ll have a great time.”This topic is from Book 2 of Grade 2,Students’ Book, Go for it. It includes activities from 1a to Grammar Focus.•Part ⅠAnalysis of Teaching Material.•This is an important unit in Book Two. The main topic of this unit is decision making. In this unit, students learn to talk about consequences, conditional if + will and modal should, and read articles according to scanning and deducing methods•This is the first period of this unit. It is closely related to our daily life and students’ dreams, hence this period is helpful to raise students’ learning interest and improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.•Part ⅡAnalysis of Students.•The students have learned present progressive (be going to) and will as future tense for long, and have known the conditional adverbial clause if clause. They are able to understand some target languages easily and are interested in them.•As for learning attitude, some students take an active part in learning English. However, some others are in low spirit because they didn’t learn well before. So it is necessary to review the 「if clause」before class.•PartⅢTeaching Aims and Demands•1.Target language•①Words and expressions•jeans, organize, have a great time, go to the party, have a party•②Key sentences•I am going to the party.•If you do, you will have a great time.•What will happen if they have the party today?•2.Ability Goals•Enable students to talk about consequences with conditional adverbial clause. •Enable students to give suggestions with consequences sentences.•3. Moral Objects.•Look before you leap（Make students learn to think twice before they going to do sth）•Help each other and work together in our daily lives.•PartⅣTeaching Key and Difficult Points.•Key points: The vocabulary (jeans, organize, have a party, have a great time…) and the conditional adverbial clause (if…will…)should be the key points of this period. •Difficult points:•How to grasp the conditional adverbial clause with if, especially its two tenses.•How to train the students’ communicative competence.•Part ⅤTeaching Methods:•Teaching methods: In this Unit I will mostly use Pair-work method and the communicative learning method and task-based method.•Learning method: The students mostly learn by listening and speaking, discussing, cooperative learning method.•Solutions:①In the whole teaching procedure, I will lead and encourage students to think more and speak more sentences with if…will…pattern .②I will let students do two pair-works , the first one is easier and then I will give them a summary about if…will…sentence, and finally there comes the second creative and a little difficult pair-work.③At the ending of this lesson, I will let them do a multiple choice to consolidate their grammar knowledge.•Part Ⅵ:Teaching Aids: The Bb, multimedia•Part Ⅷ: Teaching procedures.•Step1 Greetings & Leading in•Greet the students and introduce myself. In this step I will use free talk “How are you today?I am happy today and if I am happy, I will laugh, sometimes I will eat something. If you are happy, what will you do? ...” to lead in the new lesson.Step2 Listen a song named I f y o u a r e h a p p y a n d d i s c u s s w h a t y o u w i l l d o i f y o u a r e h a p p y.•Step3 Before Task•I will show some pictures to set a scene dialogue. And lead them to use conditional adverbial clause.•Eg. 1. If you buy ice cream, what will happen?• 2. If don’t buy ice cream, what will happen?• 3. If you have 2 yuan, what will you do? (Show the pictures of activity 1a ,ask students to talk about the pictures one by one and help them to think about the consequences. If you do, you’ll …)•Step 4 Do activities through 1a—1c•In 1a ,I will ask students to guess and match the statements with responses first, then listen to check if their answers to the questions are correct. I will let students to listen the material 3 times. For the first time let them do the matching, the second time to check the answer once more and the third time to read after the record. Then I will give them the tape script and ask some students to role play the dialogue.•After the listening finished I will write the 1c Pair-work on the blackboard, and ask students to practice in pairs. I will lead and encourage them to think more creative answers. And then encourage some of them to role play it.•Step 5 Pair work II•In this step I will give a brief summary of the new phrases and sentences first. Then I will let them to do a pair work. I will set a scene “Now suppose you and your partner will go to the school party, what will you talk about?”Then I will give them 2 or 3 examples. ThenI will ask and encourage them to think more possible answers and talk about it in group.After 3min I will encourage them to show their dialogue and let them to write a shortdialogue in pairs. And I will tell us that those people who do well job will get gifts. •Step ⒍Listening 2a-2b•I will use the same way used in 1a to teach these two listening practices.•Step ⒎Group work•I will let students do a group work like this: Suppose that your class will have a class party.You two are the organizers of the party, what will you talk about?Please write a conversationabout it.I will first group the students 5 people a group. Then I will give them a example and some suggestion and inspiration. And then I will give them 7 min to write the conversation by groups,per group write one conversation.•Step ⒏Practice—multiple choice•In order to strengthen the understanding and memory of the target language of students, I will let them to do a multiple choice at last.Part ⅧBlackboard DesignPart ⅨTeaching design concept•In this lesson I create a large amount of story scenes to arouse students’ interest. And let students fully develop reading, speaking, listening, and writing skills. Make students master grammatical knowledge and cultivate students’independent learning ability and healthy personality.。
