高级词汇的使用主要指《大纲》上没 有要求的、通过构词法变化而来的、同义 词或近义词、反义词以及文采飞扬的词汇 等来代替常见词语。有没有使用高级词汇， 可以基本判断该考生所掌握的词汇量。

1. 挖掘纲外词汇
有些单词在《英语考试大纲》中确实未 曾出现，但在阅读时经常碰到，这类词汇可 视为高级词汇. 如：majority, currently, attractive, available，annoyed 等。例如：
a. We had better make full use of something inexpensive. ( make full use of 比use有美感)
