I don’t like either of these two stories because I don’t like the plot. I will make some comments on the second story.
This story reflected humans’ lust.
The groom knew that his desire was deadly. And that if he went to sleep with the King’s wife, he was very likely to be killed. However, he still could not control his lust and went to the queen’s bedroom. He did not choose to write or to speak to the queen to express his love, instead, he chose a more bold and more direct way-- to lie with her. And when hearing the king’s warning, he decided never to take the risk again. I doubt whether he really loved the queen. Or maybe it was just because the queen was beautiful and was not accessible to him that aroused his desire to conquer her. If he really loved her, he would not think that sleeping with her was a better way than write or speak to her. So the main reason for his action was not love but lust.
People are likely to confuse love with lust. In modern times, many people actually don’t meet their true love and many people date with someone just because they have good looks. So it is very common that there is no love but sex. I really don’t see the meaning in it. If humans are satisfied with sex without emotion, then they will have no difference from other animals.
