2021-2022学年浙江省山水联盟高三(上)联考英语试卷(12月份)(附答案详解)

2021-2022学年浙江省山水联盟高三(上)联考英语试卷(12月份)一、阅读理解(本大题共10小题,共25.0分)AOne beautiful day,I showed up for work, where I had just been promoted.I was right in the middle of training a new girl, when my boss asked to talk to me for a second. After that conversation, you can effectively cross "had a good job" off my comfortable living checklist. No warning. In fact, just the month before I had received my fifth Employee of the Month award.I was speechless and so was everyone else.Seven of us were cut from my department that ter,I would discover that there were thousands of cuts companywide.I worked at a bank.A failing one. When something like this happens to you,it's natural to ask why.I reviewed all my work accomplishments.I thought about how I had been a top performer every month since I was hired and about how they gave me the highest rating on my review. What had I done wrong What could I have done betterThe truth is that sometimes we search for a logical explanation in a situation that can't be understood. The only way to move past it is to have confidence in the job you did as an employee and understand that you are a victim of an unfortunate circumstance.Speaking of writing, with all of the extra time on my hands,I reunited with the long lost love of my life:writing.I decided to pursue writing as an actual job.I designed a website and applied for writing jobs.I started getting more and more clients. It occurred to me that with some hard work I might be able to make a living doing what I love.So there I was, three months after the sky fell, thinking about how incredibly blessed I was.And this would never have happened had I not lost something in the first place.1.What happened to the author that day according to paragraph 1______A. She got an award.B. She was scolded.C. She got promoted.D. She was fired.2.How did the author feel about her situation in the end?______A. Concerned.B. Content.C. Amazed.D. Disappointed.3.What would be the best title for the text?______A. Interest Will Help Us to Find a WayB. If You Can Dream It,You Can Do ItC. Nothing Is Impossible to a Willing HeartD. When One Door Closes,Another OpensBAccording to the statistics shared by UNESCO,at least 43% of the total languages that are estimated as being spoken across the world are in danger of extinction. Moreover, many languages around the world have less than 1,000 speakers now.Linguists(语言学家)and researchers believe that by the end of the century,at least half of the world's languages will have died. This is troublesome, given that cultural identity and languages go hand in hand. Language activists and people who speak these endangered languages are fighting back tooth and nail.Scientists believe that digitization might be our only hope to preserve some of these quickly disappearing languages in the online world. For instance,Oxford University Press launched Oxford Global Languages a few years ago.It is an initiative that boosts "digitally underrepresented" languages. They are focused on promoting languages that might have closed to a million speakers worldwide, yet have little or no online presence. Therefore, they have been creating digital dictionaries as a fundamental building block to help preserve them. There have been countless other projects like this with the same aim.Another is the Rosetta Project, which aims to create a handheld digital library that will carry more than 1,500 languages. It will be appropriately sized to fit nicely into our hands, and will come with around 13,000 pages of information. It will also have a high life expectancy of anywhere between 2,000 and l,0000 years.Initiatives like these have as their primary objective to ensure the preservation of local languages long after their speakers have died.Countless languages are dying every day,and they will continue to perish as the remaining speakers die.Of course,we cannot merely rely on digitization to deal with worldwide languages loss. However,it is a step in the right direction. These digital tools offer endangered languages many opportunities to bounce back and survive.4.What does the data in paragraph 1 mainly show______A. Many languages are endangered.B. Culture determines language evolution.C. Human development results in fewer languages.D. Many linguists attempt to protect threatened languages.5.What's the purpose of Oxford Global Languages?______A. Promote online courses of local languages.B. Make certain languages available in a digital form.6.What can we learn about the digital library to be created by the Rosetta Project______A. It is portable but has a short life.B. It is sponsored by Oxford University Press.C. It provides protection for linguistic diversity.D. It contains automatically updated information.7.Which of the following can best replace the underlined word "perish" in the last paragraph?______A. Be enriched.B. Be lost.C. Be acquired.D. Be invented.CResearchers have been looking into silicon carbide(碳化硅),a promising alternative material for the semiconductor(半导体)industry, for several years now.Size, weight and efficiency are three important factors for power electronic to fit in e-cars.Silion carbide meets all three factors. It is more efficient but leaves a smaller footprint than conventional semiconductors such as silicon.Even so,silicon carbide isn't to be found in any e-cars on the road today. This semiconductor material is still limited to research labs.To shift it from the lab to the factory, the Si on Carbide Module(模块)project has taken into consideration all the conditions of industrial production. The module's design is a good case:researchers at the Fraunhofer IZM are basing it on the structure of the classic printed circuit board that the industry has long favored. This should speed up its first display. The module is also benefiting from the latest scientific advances.Instead of wire-bonding the semiconductor to the package, the researchers decided to put it directly in the circuit. The team also brought the potential customers on board for this development effort. In the project's firstyear, they drew up a specification (规格)sheet illustrating the requirements for the module and semiconductor. The researchers worked closely with users, catering to their wishes when they determined the product specification.Automakers, component suppliers and OEMS were directly involved in the effort to map out the power-electronic module's size, layout and electrical circuits. The group sought to make the most of the space available in the vehicle's power rs Bottcher, group leader at the Fraunhofer IZM and head of the SiC sub-project,says,"The major goal is to advance the new semiconductor material silicon carbide to mass production."8.What do we know about silicon carbide______A. It is larger than silicon.B. It is still under research.C. It has been used in some e-cars.D. It has been shifted to the factory.9.Why did researchers invite the potential customers to get involved in the project?______A. To draw up a formal agreement.B. To adjust the module accordingly.C. To witness their effort and success.D. To wire-bond the semiconductor to the package.10.What was the main purpose of the group according to the last paragraph______A. To mass-produce silicon carbide.B. To change the shape of the module.C. To increase the volume of the module.D. To expand the production of powered vehicles.二、阅读七选五(本大题共5小题,共10.0分)What Can We See in a Logo We see hundreds of logos on signs, vehicles, websites, and even on the clothes we wear. All of these logos are designed to attract our attention. They also help us remember a product or service connected to that image. (1)Researchers gave 85 students a simple assignment to draw the Apple logo purely from memory.Surprisingly, only one student in the study could accurately draw the logo from memory. (2)Researchers have developed a theory that they think might help to explain this blind spot in our memories.Logos are typically designed to be simple and easy to recognize with a quick glance. (3)This process is known as "attentional saturation (注意力饱和)." Our brains actually signal us to ignore information we don't think we will need to remember.Even though the brain is accustomed to ignoring unnecessary details,it is also programmed for recognition. (4) This constant exposure leads to something scientists refer to as gist(梗概)memory. It means that our brain remembers the basic idea without all of the details. This general sense of memory has its own benefits. In fact, familiarity with a popular logo can even make people feel more comfortable about purchasing or using certain products.Logos are everywhere we look today.A fancy design or a thoughtful color combination may be a good start for a logo concept, but there are other factors to consider. (5) A clever design may be interesting, but most people will forget the details - especially if our brains have anything to say about it.A.This may be inspiring to logo designers.B.People will know the product behind the logo.C.So why is it so difficult for people to recall the details of imagesD.Yet the frequent exposure to these logos can actually make our brains overlook them.E.When we see images such as logos over and over again,we become familiar with them.F.Logo designers need to know that people will only remember what they believe is worthwhile.G.However,recently research supports the idea that remembering what a logo looks like is a very difficult task.11. AAbout 50 feet from shore, two brothers were fighting for their lives. They had been swept out to sea in a current, their mouths barely able to stay above the water. Thick fog made it difficult for beachgoers on Northern California's Trinidad State Beach to see the guys, but the screams were unmistakable. And every second counted. The brothers, ages 15 and 20, were wearing shorts and T-shirts, unsuitable for a November day, let alone the50-degree water.Luckily, four surfers in wet suits were nearby. Weibel, Stratton, and York, all 16, along with Ortiz-Beck, 15, were on their surfboards riding up and down the coast on five-foot waves when they heard the cries. They turned and saw two bobbing heads and four arms beating the water. "We looked at each other and knew these guys were about to drown, " Weibel told the Washington Post.Weibel, Stratton, and Ortiz-Beck paddled toward the nervous swimmers while York headed to shore to ask someone to call 911, He then dived back in to help his friends. As the surfers drew close, the brothers were struggling. "It was pretty stressful, but there wasn't any time to think about it, and that helped me keep my cool, " Ortiz-Beck says.Ortiz-Beck pulled up alongside the younger brother. Grabbing him under his arms, he lifted him up onto his board. Stratton and Weibel, meanwhile, were trying to help the older brother. He was large, 250 to 300 pounds, and he was panicked.“We told them, 'Calm down—we got you!' " says Weibel. “They thought they were going to die. ”York arrived in time to help get the older brother atop the second board. The surfers then paddled several minutes through rough water to the medical help waiting onshore. The brothers were scared but fine.21. As a result, social media has become a huge way for young musicians to find fame. Singers like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, and Ed Sheeran owe their success to the ability to post online videos of their singing. Instead of having to rely on other people to find them, these famous singers were able to start their career on their own.Social media has changed how people become popular. Before, people would record their music and send them to recording studios. They would play in live concerts and hope to be discovered by a famous recording studio. Now, people post videos online and then try to gain a following. This makes it easier than it was before for a regular person to find success. Now, it is not in the hands of the recording studios, but rather the regular person.Technology has influenced so many things in the world, but this shift in how people become popular musicians is a huge difference. If you want to launch a successful music career, it makes sense to use the power of technology to do so. You should create a profile (自我形象)on a social media site, Youku Tudou or Instagram, and post videos of yourself doing what you love.If there is one thing to take away from the stories of these immensely talented musicians who made it big through the click of a button, it' s to make use of your resources. With so many amazingly talented musicians begging for the spotlight, it can be hard to break away from the crowd. The best way to stand out and get your face noticed is by showing your face on as many online platforms as possible. Hopefully one day, the right person will see it, and another online star turned Superstar can be added to this list.24. What' s the first paragraph mainly about?A. The role of technology in music industry.B. The difficulty of becoming famous musicians.C. Ways of launching a successful music career.D. A new trend to make a name in music industry.25. What did young musician mainly rely on to gain fame in the past?A. Record companies.B. Individual persons.C. Social media.D. Live concerts.26. What is strongly suggested in the text to those who want to become music stars?A. They should start their career on their own.B. They should learn from the talented musicians.C. They should use online stages fully to become noticeable.D. They should beg for the spotlight online to attract attention.CGray wolves once wandered across much of North America, from Alaska to Mexico and Maine to California.A nationally destruction campaign wiped out most of them in the continental U. S. by the early 1900s, with only small populations scattered (散落)along the Canadian border. In the 1970s, the U. S. listed the gray wolf as endangered.A successful reintroduction effort in the 1990s increased their numbers throughout the northern RockyMountains. That, combined with wolves migrating south from Canada, led to some packs in Washington, Oregon, and California. In the Great Lakes region, the wolves have slowly expanded on their own. increased by a remaining population in Minnesota and Canada. Alaska wolves, whose numbers have been stable, have never been protected as a threatened or endangered species.Few animals in the U. S. draw as much admiration or anger as the gray wolf. Advocates point to wolves' natural roles in ecosystems, such as their ability to help keep the number of deer in check. Agriculture groups and some hunting organizations criticize wolves, tendency to kill sheep and cows and to feed on valuable game species.Much of the modern-day debate center on where wolves should live. A senior official for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service said in a media call on Thursday that a federal (联邦的)listing is not required for wolves to spread to other locations. That argument rings false to many wolf researchers and conservation groups, such as Defenders of Wildlife, who call out more than 17 million acres of public land in western Colorado as one place where wolves could and, they argue, should be allowed to spread.“ We believe that this move by the FWS will stop wolf recovery, particularly when there is plenty of suitable habitat that is unoccupied, " says Jamie Clark, president and CEO of Defenders of Wildlife and former director of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.27. What’s the cause leading to the sharp decline of gray wolves in the US?A. The extreme weather in the 1900s.B. The battle along the Canadian border.C. The mass killing in the whole country.D. The long distance from Maine to California.28. Which wolves have never been put to the US federal listing?A. Rocky mountain wolves.B. Washington wolves.C. Oregon wolves.D. Alaska wolves.29. What do the underlined words “keep the number of deer in check” in Paragraph 3 mean?A. To examine deer numbers.B. To control deer population.C. To reduce the number of deer.D. To increase the population of deer.30. Which of the following would Jamie Clark agree with?A. There is enough habitat for wolves in the US.B. Wolves should be permitted to live in more places.C. There is no need to put wolves in a federal listing.D. Wolves should be blamed for killing domestic animals.第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

Wegner’s latest study shows that when people have access to search engines, they remember fewer facts and less information because they know they can rely on “search” as a readily available shortcut.Wegner believes the new findings show that the Internet has become part of a transactive memory source, a method by which our brains divide information, which means you don’t have to remember everything in the world yourself. You just have to remember who knows it. Now computers and technology are becoming virtual extensions of our memory.Wegner conducted several experiments to demonstrate the phenomenon, using various forms of memory recall to test reliance on computers. In one experiment, participants demonstrated that they were more likely to think of computer terms like “Yahoo” or “Google” after being asked a set of difficult trivia questions. In another experiment, participants typed some statements into a computer and they were told the statements would be saved in specific folders. Next, they were asked to recall the statements. Finally, they were given cues to the wording and asked to name the folders where the statements were stored. The participants proved better able to recall the folder locations than the statements themselves.Wegner admits that questions remain about whether dependence on compu ters will affect memories negatively: “Nobody knows now what the effects of these tools are on logical thinking.” Students who have trouble remembering distinct facts, for example, may struggle to employ those facts in critical thinking. But he believes that the situation overall is beneficial, comparing dependence on computers to dependence on a mechanical hand or other prosthetic device. And even though we may not be using our memories to recall distinct facts, we are still using them to consider where the facts are located and how to access them. “We still have to remember things,” Wegner explains. “We’re just remembering a different range of things.” He believes his study will lead to further research into understanding computer dependence, and looks forward to tracing the extent of human interdependence with the computer world — pinpointing the “movable dividing line between us and our computers in cyber networks.”12.From the experiment ,when asked to provide facts that are not familiar to them, people tend to ________.A.think of specific information sourcesB.type into computer and remember themC.recall them from their deep memoriesD.link the unfamiliar facts to their experiences13.Which one can be an an example of the transactive memoryA.An actor organizes today’s schedule with his agent.B.A student asks his teacher for today’s homework.C.A husband relies on his wife to remember a relative’s birthdayD.A boss asks the staff about the performance of the previous month.14.Which of the following can be inferred from the last paragraph A.Computer dependence affects our thinking capacities in other distinct fields.B.Reliance on computers does not necessarily reduce human memory. C.Computers have helped people to understand the memory system better.D.Researches should be done to reveal the side effect of computer dependence.15.Which of the following can serve as the best titleA.Wegner’s Research Has Pinpointed The Dividing LineB.Technological Networks Reshaping Our Brain FunctionsC.Human’s Memory Capability Becoming Inevitably WeakerD.Heavy Reliance On Computer For Storing More Information第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

1. Luke Grenfell﹣Shaw has developed a rare form of cancer. It started as a pain in his shoulder and the tumor(肿瘤)spread to his lungs, making it stage four. The Oxford graduate was teaching English in Siberia when he suffered shoulder pain and consulted the school nurse. It was her reaction to a lump on his back that sent him back home to Bristol. "I was 24 years old. I had done an ultra﹣marathon, " Luke said. "48 hours later, I was back in hospital in the UK." On 19 June 2018, doctors informed Luke that he had cancer."I had kind of worked out that it was cancer, but what kind of blew me away was the fact that it was stage four cancer, " said Luke. "That day, I felt like my life was ________. My life had been comfortable and conventional. I worked hard and got rewards in terms of education, jobs, things like that. That was all taken away." On the day of his diagnosis(诊断), Luke had one clear thought in his mind that he wanted to cycle around the world. It was something he had always hoped to do, but the cancer news made him realize that he couldn't put it off."I realize that the future had to become now, " Luke explained. He decided to cycle from Bristol to Beijing ﹣﹣﹣more than 5, 000 miles ﹣﹣﹣ on a tandem bike, because he wants to bring people along to share the experience with him. Luke will not only be joined by his family and friends for certain legs of his trip, but also by other young people who are living with cancer. "This trip is something I'm going to enjoy, " said Luke. "It's bound to be the richest and most fulfilling experience that I can have."(1)What can we infer from what Luke said in paragraph 1?________A. He doubted the previous examination.B. He had suffered from unbearable pains.C. He regretted running the ultra﹣marathon.D. He hadn't expected such serious condition..(2)What does the underlined word "disintegrated" in paragraph 2 mean?________A. Broken.B. Controlled.C. Adjusted.D. Brightened..(3)Why did Luke decide to cycle around the world?________A. To realize his dream on the wheels.B. To win the battle against his cancer.C. To enjoy the rest of his life peacefully.D. To draw worldwide attention to cancer..2. The final bell rings at a high school in downtown Los Angeles. Nearly every student walking out of the school gate studies a screen, with their head bowed down. Over the past decade, such scenes have become quite common ﹣ at least in the United Sates. Research indicates that American millennials look at their phones 150 times a day on average. In the meantime, the number of American teenagers reporting feelings of depression has grown significantly. Some people blame the increase on the Great Recession following 2008 and other social changes. However, a big new study suggests a different explanation ﹣the rise of social media. Jean Twenge, a psychology professor at San Diego State University, led the study. With data collected from more than 50, 000 American teenagers, she found that those who spent lots of time on social media were more likely to agree with remarks such as "The future often seems hopeless." Those who used screens less, spending time playing sports or socializing with friends in person, were less likely to report feelings of depression. This, in fact, is not the first time that scientists have found that social media can rob people of their happiness. One study published in 2016 asked a randomly selected group of adults to quit Facebook for a week. It turned out that they reported feeling less depressed at the end of the week than those who continued using it.Some research, however, suggests that social﹣networking sites can promote happiness if used to engage directly with other users, rather than just to feel jealous of happy moments someone shares online. This provides a reminder that it is users' attitudes that shape their experiences on social media."I often remind myself that it's all filtered, " reflects Sarah, a junior at the high school in Los Angeles. "People only post what they want you to see, so it can seem that their life is superior to yours." But when asked if she has ever considered deleting her social media accounts, Sarah looks confused."No. I would feel lost."(1)What is the topic of the passage?________A. Feelings of depression.B. The rise of social media.C. Addiction to recreation.D. The use of smart phones..(2)What can we learn from the two studies in paragraph 3 and 4?________A. Sports and socialization are supposed to be encouraged.B. Most American teenagers have sunk into hopelessness.C. Social media have negative effects on people's feelings.D. People are not in a position to live without social media..(3)According to Sarah, what is the right attitude to others' happy moments shared online?________A. Jealous.B. Critical.C. Concerned.D. Tolerant..3. Bats have long been one of the most feared creatures in the animal kingdom. Many pop culture associations with them are related to vampire men tempting women in order to suck their blood or witches putting evil curses on innocent individuals.Although these associations are complete misunderstandings, bats do have a dark side as a dangerous disease carrier. These flying mammals can carry a number of deadly diseases such as rabies and more recently Ebola. This has led many to wonder why we should even care about them.Sure, there is good reason to be exceptionally cautious if you come into contact with bats. However, there is no denying the fact that bats play a significant role in keeping a balanced ecosystem. Many organic farmers have learned about the benefits of having bats nearby to help manage the pests that show up without pesticides. One brown bat ﹣ about the size of a human thumb can consume about 600 mosquitoes and other unwanted insects within an hour. They make for a fantastic, almost essential addition to pest management on any farm.Even large government organizations have realized the economic benefits of bats. The United States Geological Survey estimates that bat contributions to pest management save the country at least 3.7 billion dollars per year. Without them, we would likely experience a sharp drop in food production, which would eventually make its way into our weekly grocery bills. As if this were not enough of an ecosystem service we receive, bats are also of great importance to a variety of plant species that are preferential to its pollination. Otherwise, these plants would decrease their ability to reproduce by at least 50 percent.A number of plant products consumed by humans fall into this preferential pollination category. Some popular foods include mangoes, bananas, peaches and guavas. Additionally, the agave plant, which is used to make tequila, is completely dependent on bat pollinators for reproduction.Bats are major contributors to our society. They are in the best interest of the international community to protect and even to promote. Amid significant fears housed by the general public, the fact is that we need them more than most of us imagine.(1)Why should we be cautious when we contact bats?________A. They are aggressive.B. They bring bad luck.C. They carry diseases.D. They stay in the dark..(2)What are paragraphs 4, 5, 6, 7 mainly about?________A. Our care about bats can never be too much.B. Bats make unusual contributions to us.C. Farming is simply impossible without bats.D. Mosquitoes are a big threat to farming..(3)Who are the target readers of the passage?________A. The general public.B. The pop culture lovers.C. The mass farmers.D. The environmentalists..(4)What can be a suitable title for the passage?________A. Bats Are MisunderstoodB. Creatures Do WondersC. Protection Is Under WayD. We Humans Need Bats.第二节(共5个小题;每小题10分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。
