Unit 2 How often do you exercise ? (Section B 3a – 3c)
I.Teaching goals:
1.Knowledge goals:
All the students learn to write a report.
2. Ability goals:
Most students can use the frequency words to describe their daily habits;
Most students learn about the strategies of writing a report.
3.Emotional goals:
Students know some good habits and develop them in daily life.
II.Teaching nodus:
The strategies of writing a report.
Teaching Procedure
I.Pre-writing.
1.Show some of Mr. Shi’s photos, students describe his daily activities using frequency words.
2. Students read Mr. Shi’s living habits and find out the good ones and the bad ones.
3. Students read the frequency words as fast as they can when the words flash on the screen;
Have a competition between two groups and talk about their good habits using the frequency words.
4. Work on 3a, read and complete the report.
Observe the report, analyze the structure.
Find out how to write a report.
II. While-writing.
Students choose one title to write a report.
III. Post-writing.
Students show their reports, the teacher and the other students give comments.
IV. Homework.
To-do homework(必做):
Finish your report and write the other one.
Selective homework(选做):
Search for some differences between Chinese and Americans in daily habits.
