一、介绍他人

1、为他人作介绍时，常用的表达方法是“This is…”。例如：

Xiaoyan, this is Polly, my girlfriend.

Polly, this is Xiaoyan, my colleague from Shanghai.

This is my boss, Mr. Smith.

2、下列句式可用来在正式场合介绍他人：

•约翰逊女士，这位是我的上司史密斯先生。

Ms. Johnson, I would like to introduce my boss, Mr. Smith to you.

Ms. Johnson, let me introduce my boss, Mr. Smith to you.

•请允许我介绍威廉姆斯先生。

Allow me to introduce Mr. Williams.

Please let me introduce Mr. Williams.

•很荣幸向您介绍史密斯先生。

I’m honoured to present Mr. Smith.

I’m very pleased to present Mr. Smith.

It’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to Mr. Smith.

二、表达提议与应答

1、在第2单元中，我们学过，可以用Would you like sth?或Would you like to

do sth?这两种疑问句式表达“提议”。例如：

Would you like a drink/some crisps? 你想来点喝的/薯片吗？

Would you like to come to my house? 你愿意来我家吗？

2、对“提议”的应答通常分为肯定应答和否定应答。

•用于肯定应答的常用句式。

Yes, please.好的。

Yes, I would, thanks.好的，谢谢。

Yes, it’s very kind of you.好啊，你太好了。

Yes, that would be very nice.好啊，那太好了。

•否定应答时，应先表达歉意或感谢，然后可说明拒绝的理由。例如：No, thanks. 不，谢谢。

No, I wouldn’t, thanks.不，我不想，谢谢。

Sorry, I’d love to, but…对不起，我很愿意去，但是……

3、“提议”还可以用以what开头的疑问句表达，例如：

提议

What would you like to drink? What would you like, Polly?

应答

I’d like a cup of coffee, thanks. I’d like some crisps.

4、主动提出自己做某事，常用的句式为I’ll+动词原形，例如：

I’ll buy the drinks.

I’ll help you.

I’ll answer the phone.

三、询问职业

常用的询问职业的句式有：

•What’s your job?你的工作是什么？

•What do you do? 你是做什么的？

•What's your occupation? 你的职业是什么？

•What's your position? 你的职位是什么？

•What's your title?你的头衔是什么？

•What line of work are you in?你做哪一行的？

四、冠词a/an/the的区别和用法

冠词分为不定冠词a/an和定冠词the两种。

1、不定冠词a/an与可数名词的单数搭配，表示“一”的意义，但不强调数目

观念，指某一类人或事物中的非特指的“任何一个”。不定冠词有a和an 两种形式，a用于辅音音素开头的词前。an用于元音音素开头的词前。

例如：I am an accountant.

We need an apple and a knife.

2、定冠词the与可数名词的单数、复数和不可数名词搭配，指特定的、独

一无二的事物或已被提到的人或物。例如：

I am the Chief Accountant for ABHK Bank.

These are the books I like.

Please open the window.

3、同样，大楼中只有一个“一层”、一个“二层”，因此，表达楼层时要用定冠

词：the ground floor, the first floor, the second floor。

五、序数词

1、多数序数词由基数词加-th构成，例如：

six eleven eighteen

thirty-five

fifty-nine

fifty
