Handel began losing his sight, but still continued to compose and play the organ until his death on April 14, 1759. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, in London.
Johann Sebastian Bach
1685--1750 He was a German composer and organist(风琴手). Born into a musical family, Bach received his earliest instruction from his father. After his parents died, Bach moved in with his oldest brother. There, he copied, studied and performed music, and received valuable teaching from his brother.
1685-1759 George Handel was born in Halle, Germany on February 23, 1685.George became famous for his operas, as well as other types of music. He went to England, and while there, composed a piece called “An Ode for the Queen’s Birthday. She was so impressed that she granted him a salary of several hundred pounds per year.
