知识线索1.语态(V oice),作为一个语法范畴,是表示主语和动词之间的主动或被动关系的动词行式。

英语动词有两种语态:主动语态(Active V oice)和被动语态(Passive V oice)。

当主语为动作执行者即施动者时,动词用主动态;如果主语是动作的承受者即受动者时,动词便用被动态。

例如:(1) John helped Peter.(2) Peter was helped by John.2.学习被动语态时,不仅要知道被动语态的各种语法结构,还要知道在哪些情况中使用被动语态。

a. 讲话者不知道动作的执行者或不必说出动作的执行者 (这时可省 by 短语)。

问题4:使用被动语态应该注意的几个问题(2) 主动形式表被动意义
1) 某些及物动词做不及物用+副词(e.g. easily, badly, well , smoothly),多用主动表被动。常见的有:wash, write ,sell, read ,open, shut等. This type of computer sells well amongteenagers. The novel reads well. 2) want, need ,require, deserve, be worth等词的后面 可以用动名词的主动形式表示被动意义 She bought me a book, which is worth reading. 3) 某些作表语的形容词后,用不定式的主动形式表示被 动意义 She told me that the fish was not fit to eat. He is the one who is hard to please(难于取悦).
• 现在完成时:has/have + bee n +过去分词 e.g. The book has been translated into many languages. 这本书已被译成多种语言。
• 过去完成时: had been+过去分词 e.g.All the tickets had been sold out when I got to the cinema.当我到达电影院的时候所有的 票都被售完了。
问题3:含有情态动词,感官动词, 使役动词及短语动词 的被动语态如何使用?
含有动词短语的主动句变为被动句时, 不要漏掉其后的介词或副词。例如: We must take good care of the children. ------- The children must be taken good care of.

二、知识要点(一)被动语态的概念被动语态是动词的一种形式,表示主语是动作的承受者,而不是执行者。

(二)被动语态的构成被动语态由“be +及物动词的过去分词”构成。

其中,be 动词根据时态和主语的人称、数进行变化,过去分词则保持不变。

(三)不同时态下被动语态的形式1、一般现在时:am/is/are +过去分词The book is read by many people(这本书被很多人读。

)2、一般过去时:was/were +过去分词The window was broken by Tom(窗户被汤姆打破了。

)3、一般将来时:will be +过去分词或 be going to be +过去分词The work will be finished tomorrow(工作明天将会完成。

)The party is going to be held next week(聚会下周将要举行。

)4、现在进行时:am/is/are + being +过去分词The house is being built(房子正在被建造。

)5、过去进行时:was/were + being +过去分词The problem was being discussed at that time(那个问题当时正在被讨论。

5.get 可以代替被动语态中的be如get started, get paid, get married, get divorced, get separated, get worried about , get dressed, get changed, get hurt.不能变为被动语态的情形:1.主动句中的谓语动词是某些状态性动词时,这类动词强调“拥有,属于,存在”等含义时,不可变为被动语态。

如果主语是动作或状态的「发出者」,动词就用主动语态;如果主语是动作或状态的「承受者」,动词就用被动语态。

例如:1. John encouraged Mary.﹝约翰鼓励玛莉。

动词被动语态的基本形态是:助动词BE + 及物动词的过去分词(-ed分词)动词的被动语态通常有六种时、体形式:即一般现在时、一般过去时、现在进行体、过去进行体、现在完成体和过去完成体。

1.Simple Present Tense主动语态:I teach him.被动语态:He is taught by me.2.Simple Past Tense主动语态:I taught him yesterday.被动语态:He was taught by me yesterday.3.Present Continuous Tense主动语态:I am teaching him.被动语态:He is being taught by me.4.Past Continuous Tense主动语态:I was teaching him when you came.被动语态:He was being taught by me when you came.5.Present Perfect Tense主动语态:I have taught him.被动语态:He has been taught by me.6.Past Perfect Tense主动语态:I had taught him before you came.被动语态:He had been taught by me before you came.一般将来时Simple Future Tense 也常常有这种被动语态形式主动语态:I shall teach him tomorrow.被动语态:He will be taught by me tomorrow.动词由主动语态变为被动语态的步骤:1. 先找出谓语动词;2. 再找出谓语动词后的宾语;3. 把宾语用作被动语态中的主语;4. 注意人称、时态和数的变化。

The music sounds sweet.The room bel ongs to me. 主动形式表被动意义:1. 不定式的主动语态表示被动意义:(1)不定式在easy/difficult/fit 等形容词之后,且不定式与句子的主语有逻辑上的动宾关系时, 不定式常用主动形式表被动意义,且不定式的宾语必须省略。

The book is easy to un dersta nd.(2) 若作定语用的不定式与其所修饰的名词之间存在动宾关系,并与句子主语之间存在主谓 关系,也可用主动形式表示被动意义。

I have a letter to write.(3) 某些作表语用的不定式, 强调出租/责备/解雇等,也可用主动形式表示被动意义。

此类常见的动词有:let (出租),rent (出租),hire (雇用),blame (责备)等。

Am I to blame?2. 用动名词的主动形式表示被动意义:(1)在need/want/require (需要)/deserve (值得)等词后,用动名词的主动形式表示被动意义,也 可以用不定式的被动形式。

n eed doing = n eed to be done (2)在形容词worth 后,用动名词的主动形式表示被动意义, done 或 be worthy of being done.3. 某些介词短语作表语时可表示被动意义:4. 被动形式表示主动意义某些“动词+反身代词”结构,可变成被动结构表示主动意义。

常见的这类结构有:on eself to, seat on eself, dress on eself, amuse on eself, lose on eself, prepare on eself for, concern on eself about 等。
