The Red Badge of Courage

I had read the book in a summer holiday,and really like it.The writer of book is Stephen Crane,a famous American author.He is a famous poet and novelist.

The book is a contadina’s son ,Henry,the woman’s only child.Henry pay a great attention to the war and look forward to being a solider and living in the army,and then he join in the North Army,ignoring his mother’s object.From that time ,his army’s life began.

When Henry was in the war,he was so nervous at first,because of the death and fighting.He was wounded by accident.But luckily,he was saved by his comrade-in-arms.And this time,every believe that he was courageous,and Henry felt ashamed,so he decided to take a chance to win honor from then on.

At last,Henry become more brave and he won a great honor,which other cannot do as like as him.And in the end,he was awarded by his higher-ups.At the same time,Henry had great change and he felt relaxed in the army.

I think Henry may not be a good soldier at first,because he ever escaped by fearing,but he never gives up and throws himself into the war, so I really believe that he is a good soldier.Actually, the war is

scary and cruel,and all of us will afraid it. However,the plot of the book is simple and easy to understand.In a word, I like Henry,the courageous man.
