Introduce a person is the main topic of section B(3a-3c) unit9, go for it book 8A and it’s important part of students’ daily communication. This topic is not only closes to the students’ daily life ,but also useful and fun. The students can introduce a person on the basis of talking about exceptional people they have learned, they will feel successful when they use this knowledge and it’s good for students to learn the next unit “I’m going to be a basketball player”.
(一)Speak about teaching aims 1.Knowledge objects
Enable the Ss to remember the following new words & phrases: Well–known, pianist, could, piece, accordion, take part in, Poland. Get the Ss to be familiar with this sentence pattern: He started to learn the piano when he was seven. He began to learn the accordion at the age of four. 2.Ability objects (1)Students can use skim and scan reading skills. (2)Students can simply introduce a person. (3) Students can write about a person. 3. Moral objects (1) Arouse their interest in learning English. (2) Encourage the Ss to be confident and show themselves bravely. (3) Encourage the Ss try their best to do everything. (4)Improve students’ cooperating and communicative ability.
According to this information, we will learn and practice in order to approach the teaching aims in this lesson.
