Linguistics can be divided intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary branches : intradisciplinary divisions micro-linguistics, interdisciplinary divisions macro-linguistics.
Branches of micro-linguistics:
Phonology: it study production, transcription, classification and description of sounds.
Phonology: it study contribution, distribution, sequencing of sounds. Morphology: it study the way of arranging and combination of the words. Syntax: it study the rules which we combine the words in grammatically permissible.
Semantics: it study the meaning of the well-formed sentences. Pragmatics: it study the context of the language use.
Branches of macro-linguistics:
Socio-linguistics: it study the social aspects of language and its relation with society.
Psycho-linguistics: it study the language to psychology.
Applied linguistics: it study application to the solution of practical problem as the recovery of speech ability.
