Period 3 Discovering Useful Structures

教材分析

本板块的活动主题为“谈论已完成的事”(Talk about something that has been done),目标语法结构是现在完成时的被动语态。互联网的影响深刻而有力,人们或主动或被动地接受互联网带来的改变,描述这些变化离不开现在完成时的主动或被动语态结构。本单元学习的语法知识是现在完成时被动语态的用法,其基本构成及功能可以参考教科书附录中的语法注释。

教学目标

1. 能正确理解使用下列词汇:function, battery, confirm, Wi-Fi, press, button, file。

2. 能够理解并正确运用现在完成时的被动语态进行口头和书面表达。

3. 能正确区分主动语态和被动语态中的动词形式,加深对被动语态结构的了解。

4. 巩固学生对于现在完成时被动语态的意义和功能的理解和掌握。

教学过程

Step 1 Warm up

1.Enjoy an English song “Carry on”, and find all the lines that use passive voice:

But I’d like to think I can cheat it all

To make up for the times I’ve been cheated on

And it’s nice to know when I was left for dead

I was found and now I don’t roam these streets

2.Students observe the three lines that use passive lines and select the one that uses present perfect passive voice.

Step 2 Observing and discovering

1.Work on Activity 1. Students read the pairs of sentences. Underline and compare the different

verb forms.

2.Students fill in the blanks of Activity 1. Discover the different verb forms of present perfect active voice and present perfect passive voice.

设计意图:该环节让学生通过对比现在完成时主动语态和被动语态的形式,发现句子中的目标语法结构,进一步感知现在完成时被动语态的形式构成。

3.Students think about the question “What aspects in your life have been changed since the appearance of the Internet?”, they may refer to the following form:

4.Teacher finds more sentences in the reading passage. Show the sentences without verbs to the students. Students complete the sentences with correct forms of the verbs.

Step 3 Grammar Focus

1. Work on Activity

2. Change the sentences into the present perfect passive voice. Find out the differences in meaning and function between the active and passive forms.

2. Students work in groups. Brainstorm the negative form, general question and special question of the present perfect passive voice.

3. Read and appreciate the poem in Activity 3. Then write a similar poem based on their own situation.

Finish the exercises of “Using structures” part in the Workbook.
